The Project Manager for Credit Risk Management Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of credit risk management within the organization. They will work closely with stakeholders from various departments to ensure effective credit risk identification, assessment, and mitigation in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement credit risk management strategies, policies, and procedures.
2. Coordinate with relevant departments, such as risk management, lending, and underwriting, to gather necessary data and information for credit risk management.
3. Assess the organization's credit risk exposure and develop risk mitigation strategies.
4. Monitor and evaluate the credit quality of the organization's portfolio, including performing credit reviews and stress testing.
5. Identify and assess credit risks associated with new products, customers, or markets.
6. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as regulators and auditors, to provide necessary documentation and support during credit risk-related inspections.
7. Train and educate employees on credit risk management policies and procedures.
Skill Sets:
1. Strong understanding of credit risk management principles and practices.
2. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
3. Proficiency in financial analysis and credit assessment.
4. Strong knowledge of credit risk measurement methodologies, such as credit scoring and rating models.
5. Effective project management and organizational skills.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
7. Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
8. Experienced in market or counterparty credit risk management, reporting and / or analytics.
9. Well versed with regulatory developments for at least one or more of UK / Europe / US geography and Basel requirements.
10. Good presentation skills and customer facing, skilled at reading and producing high quality documentation.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
2. Several years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in the financial services industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines related to credit risk management.
4. Familiarity with relevant regulatory bodies and their requirements, such as the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision.
5. Strong understanding of financial markets and credit products.
6. Good to have : Knowledge and concepts of at least one programming language (R, Python, VBA etc.) and one database (e.g. SQL)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).
- Experience in leading credit risk management projects within a financial institution.
- Experience in collaborating with regulatory authorities and participating in industry working groups related to credit risk management.
- Knowledge of international credit risk management requirements and guidelines.
- Project management and transformation experience in market / counterparty credit / CVA / initial margin areas (> 2 years)
