Roles and responsibilities :
- Negotiate, draft, and analyze a wide variety of commercial contracts including master services agreements, statements of work, software license agreements, strategic alliance/partnership agreements, cloud hosting agreements, data protection agreements, NDA's
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the contract terms align with the business goals and mitigate potential risks.
- Provide legal advice and guidance on privacy matters, including data protection, information security and compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
- Review relevant privacy policies, privacy statements and related documentation and update as needed in response to changes in applicable law and/or business operations.
- Stay informed about emerging privacy trends, regulations and enforcement actions, and proactively advise the organization on potential risks and opportunities.
- Provide legal advice to multiple business lines, including sales and delivery, marketing, Infosec and HR, on legal issues and risks, employment agreements, company policies and procedures etc.
- Assist the local HR teams with the management of various labor and employment matters, policies, and inquiries.
- Work with the Legal Operations team on assigned global legal services streamlining projects and assist in driving process improvements as necessary.
- Stay up to date with relevant legal developments and industry trends.
Requirements :
- Experience negotiating complex commercial transactions, including IT outsourcing services agreements, statements of work for IT and cloud services, alliance agreements (e.g., reseller agreement), SaaS agreements, software licensing agreements.
- Strong commercial focus and an ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent drafting skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- A business-oriented, pragmatic mindset to balance legal risks with business strategy while delivering legal advise that is easy to understand.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to facilitate successful interaction with all levels of management and staff.
Minimum 8 - 10 years
Previous experience in legal processes in IT services organizations is strongly preferred.
Education : A bachelor's degree in law from a recognized institution/university.
