- The company is in process of setting up a GIC in Bangalore to focus on Technology, IT Infrastructure & Global Finance competencies. The GIC will be involved in cutting edge work and has a very exciting growth plan in the near future.

Role Summary :

- The controller position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.

Role Description :

- Manages the corporate finance function- including building the team and providing strategic leadership to the business functions

- Manages all accounting operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Tax & Compliances.

- Ensures quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

- Ensures the accuracy and integrity of the books of account and the financial information generated.

- Manages the preparation of regulatory and statutory reporting and support month-end and year-end close process.

- Ensures local, state and government reporting requirements and tax filings.

- Ensures compliance with corporate financial policies and internal controls and manages the audit of financial statements for external reporting and tax filings.

- Responsible for Corporate Tax compliance and Transfer pricing with support from the company's tax advisors.

- Ensures ongoing processes improvements and focusing on ways to optimize costs.

- Leads and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.

- Drives fiscal control and partnering with business teams to optimize costs.

- Works closely with the India and Global leadership team and builds relationships with key stakeholders.

People Management :

- Leads the recruitment effort in building a high performing team.

- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to enable the GIC to succeed as well as build the employer brand in the community.

- Trains, coaches, mentors and directs the work of direct reports.

- Sets clear objectives for team members based on capacity and specialization.

- Identifies, grooms, rewards and develops high performing team members as future leaders.

- Resolves escalated conflicts and grievances as necessary.

- Develop and implement strategies to retain talent.

Requirements :

- Chartered Accountant with 10+ years of work experience in Corporate Finance with MNCs/GICs.

- Leading and managing teams in multiple locations, and directing multi-functional business units

- Ability to engage with stakeholders and provide critical inputs to business teams.

- Ability to think independently, strategically and systemically

- Ability to work in an ambiguous, complex, challenging and fast-paced environment.

- Ability to problem solve and negotiate, and strong decision making skills

- Working within strict deadlines
