Job Title Senior Manager - Corporate Communications & Sustainability

Function Marketing, Corporate Communications & Sustainability

Reporting to Head - Marketing, Corporate Communications & Sustainability

Purpose : 

Develop, organize and implement public relations campaigns / activities to create positive public opinion about the organization brand and influence external opinion drivers; Also responsible for driving the corporate sustainability initiatives for the organization in line with its vision and values

Key Responsibilities : 

Responsibilities : 

Strategic : 

- Support Head - Marketing, Corporate Communications & Sustainability in developing the organization's corporate communications and sustainability strategy aligned to organization vision and values

- Establish and maintain strategic alliances with various industry forums in India

- Ensure relationships are established with media houses/ PR agencies to increase visibility of the Company

Financial : 

- Ensure adherence to the corporate communications and sustainability budget

Operational: 

- Formulate policies, procedures and protocols for all external and internal communication in the organization

- Drive conduct of all senior management communications/ interactions like town halls, open houses, etc. in coordination with the Head - Human Resources

- Conduct / facilitate all external communications and media interactions for the organization, with the view of ensuring dissemination of accurate information and strengthening the company image

- Arrange senior management interviews, press conferences and their representation at appropriate public forums

- Prepare all press releases and media content and ensure their dissemination to external media on behalf of organization after the approval of Head Marketing, Corporate Communications and Sustainability

- Ensure accuracy and relevance of all external communications

- Regularly monitor all media and other agency reports and publications for any MIS-reporting or misrepresentation of company information and ensure immediate action/escalation on items affecting company reputation and credibility

- Develop and publish all internal communications such as newsletters, updates etc to all employees and internal stakeholders of the organization and obtain approval for the same from the Head Marketing, Corporate Communications and Sustainability

- Ensure continuous enhancement of content on the company website and ensure representation of up to date information on the external/internal web portals

- Work closely with the senior management in drafting the corporate social responsibility / sustainability framework and policy for organization as an expression of its core social values

- Obtain inputs from the senior management and other stakeholders and prepare plan for various CSR initiatives that can be implemented such as projects funding, skill sharing / skill transfer program, education etc

- Finalize CSR schemes to be implemented along with an analysis of the viability of the scheme and the benefits from it; present the proposal with respect to various CSR schemes and associated budget to the Head Marketing, Corporate Communications and Sustainability for approval

- Liaise with various external agencies such as NGOs and stakeholder groups including employees, consumers, business partners and suppliers for implementation of CSR schemes

- Strengthen existing CSR initiatives such as Go Green, Go Teach and Go Help and communicate the progress of all activities to the media and employees of the organization

- Track the progress and success of various CSR schemes implementation and initiate improvements, where required

- Prepare report of implemented schemes and submit the same to the Head Marketing, Corporate Communications and Sustainability and senior management

- Ensure compliance with statutory / regulatory requirements in all communication and sustainability activities

People: 

- Provide support to team members through effective monitoring, review of performance parameters and provision of periodic feedback

- Ensure high level of employee engagement and retention of team members

- Coach subordinates to develop their capabilities and build a strong succession pipeline for the role
