Sr Contract Assurance Manager
- The CAM will provide for a 360-degree contract design and management, will be responsible for implementing an obligations management plan and for the overall contracts governance.
- He or she will be a key player in the account governance, participating at top-level executive meetings as a trustful advisor to the business teams and leading compliance with contractual obligations protecting interests and supporting business strategy decisions. He or she will be responsible for driving change requests, negotiating commercial disputes, avoidance of penalties, and prevention of profit leakage through scope creep.
Contract Assurance Manager (CAM) Responsibilities:
The CAM works closely with the account executive team (Account / Country / Region Delivery Head, Business Heads) and support functions (Finance, Legal, cross-function etc.) and is responsible for ensuring awareness and compliance with the contract and contract management processes. The job is passionate about the following areas:
- Being a proactive member of the account team, advising and collaborating with the client executive partners, delivery leaders and other team members in the contract design, preparation, and management of the daily contractual relationship with the customer and partners of consortia in a way that protects the interests.
- Becoming the first point of contact of the delivery team for all contractual matters, overseeing the direct follow up of the contract / legal aspects associated with relevant customer contracts in close coordination with the corresponding country legal counsel.
- Collaborating with the delivery teams in scope/gap analysis, governance, management of change requests, monitor of the acceptance procedures, contract interpretation etc. based on the priorities defined.
- Participating in negotiations preparations, strategy definition and meetings with partners/suppliers/3rd party vendors.
- Drafting - with the other members of the delivery team- of communications to be sent to the customer on any contract related topics.
- Providing guidance on mitigation of claims and resolve escalations via commercial governance.
- Publish transformational dashboards and insightful management updates.
- Ensuring that all contract changes (e.g. addendum) are recorded in accurate time and format, and that the performance of the contractual obligations is properly planned, tracked, documented and monitored, create healthy tension, raise uncomfortable questions with Delivery as appropriate.
- Ensuring back-to-back obligations towards Suppliers such as SLAs. Setting up and managing regular Client Governance Meetings.
- Identifying, assessing, and handling risk-related areas in the contract execution and supporting thorough and effective risk management processes.
- Ensuring contractual scope bounding to protect against profit leakage through scope creep, e.g. via agreed change control.
- Navigating and helping the account team to negotiate commercial disputes regarding contract scope. Get required help from relevant stakeholders to ensure they are on the same page.
- Helping the Account Delivery Head initiate, discuss and agree on Change Requests with the Customer.
- Ensuring support from sales initiation to delivery and contract closure stages (end to end life cycle).
- Providing advice on issues of contractual interpretation and assisting in any dispute resolution process.
- Participating in the review of, and subsequent transmittal of approved customer proposals or service orders.
- Developing external relationships with Client contract management counterparts (generally Client procurement and Legal) as well as third party personnel, as may be required.
- Driving on-time client responses on milestones/deliverables.
- Contributing to CAM community (competency framework, success stories, artefacts, accelerators) and COE.
- Propagating learnings and best practices across accounts.
