Job Description :

We are seeking an exceptionally talented leader, Senior Manager - Content marketing & Merchandising, to lead and manage the cross site, merchandising team and the content creative team (editors, visual designers). The Content & Merchandising team focuses on scheduling, presenting, and optimizing site content across all internal and external traffic teams as well as providing subject matter expertise to Engineering counterparts who are working to improve the overall customer experience of our product by making it easier to schedule, present, and find content.

- This role will be responsible for identifying, negotiating and optimizing cross-site desktop, mobile advertising and 3P partner marketing programs to drive KPIs for engagement efforts. To do so, the successful candidate will partner closely with key teams.

- The role will also have responsibility of a creative design team who will be responsible for creation of compelling creative (display and video) assets. Additional responsibilities include developing segmentation strategies to improve merchandising and measuring and analyzing these strategies to improve and optimize overall performance.

- The team will also collaborate with our studio partners to gain approval for image placement across the website, connected devices and mobile devices.

- The Senior Merchandising Manager will deliver a set of highly visible, strategic cross site display advertising initiatives supporting the company's Video acquisition and engagement efforts. In addition to ongoing activity, there is a large focus on building for the future and you must pioneer the automation and scaling of your marketing activities.

The role's responsibilities include :

- Identify and develop segmentation strategies to utilize when merchandising across the website and on devices

- Manage a small team of merchandisers and content creators (display and video) to drive strategy and execution to deliver at scale.

- Leverage data to analyze and optimize programs

- Serve as a cross site marketing expert internally and liaison with central teams to drive program expansion

- Oversee production and creative operations, including recruiting, people and process management, workflow, timelines, and budgets for an internal creative marketing team

- Work closely with the product and development teams to inform necessary features and execute initiatives

- Own key business metrics, supporting in-depth business reviews and presenting to senior management

- Provide vision and guidance to teams to drive and enable campaigns that support merchandising goals and objectives

- Partner with content teams to develop marketing programs that support new movies and TV shows, and to consult on programming decisions that will provide customers ongoing value in digital video

Basic Qualifications :

- 7+ years of demonstrated success with substantial experience in merchandising or online marketing for a consumer brand

- Experience of building and managing people/skills to effectively direct team's efforts toward goals. 4+ years of team management experience

- Deep knowledge of Indian Internet industry

- Demonstrated ability to build, execute, and scale cross-functional marketing programs

- Ability to conceptualize and execute projects, with strong bias for action and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

- Broad range of experience with creative projects and design

- Ability to analyze data quantitatively and use customer research, data and metrics to back up assumptions, identify opportunities, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs.

- Must be comfortable with advanced Excel and capable of manipulating data in order to perform both high level and more granular analysis.

- Strong drive for execution and delivering results. An ambitious self-starter with excellent follow-through skills to develop ideas independently and thrive in fast-paced environment is crucial. Demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done and thinking big at the same time.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Successfully able to present to and influence management at the VP level and above

- Demonstrated ability to work with global technology and business teams; be an expert in managing and navigating cross-functional efforts, partnering with multiple teams to deliver growth.

- Relentless customer focus and obsession

- Master's degree in marketing or business. Bachelor's degree with significant experience will also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in the Media Industry preferred.

- Experience in merchandising, and life-cycle management for a subscription/opt-in service is preferred.

- Knowledge of digital video landscape, including solid understanding of digital video

- Thinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution

- Comfortable with a varied set of software and editing tools. Ability to learn new tools quickly.
