Role: Sr.Manager Compensation & Benefits
The Sr.Manager Compensation & Benefits will assist in the development and implementation of the total rewards and compensation strategy. The role will be characterized by a deep commitment to attracting and developing the best talent and enabling superior performance through the right rewards strategies.
Key responsibilities will be the following:
- Work closely with Head-C&B on development and implementation of the total reward strategy to include: salary benchmarking, salary range creation, variable pay program design and administration, benefits management, annual compensation events such as bonus and salary review
- Partnering with business, HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition on compensation related matters
- Research best practices and trends and perform deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing compensation and benefit programs. Present to management findings and alternative solutions that are consistent with the companys compensation philosophy
- Perform job evaluations; conduct market surveys; collect and analyze market data and maintain salary survey data; maintain and update position descriptions; determine competitive position of companys salary by evaluating competitor compensation and benefits packages, incentive and equity structures; develop recommendations for annual structure and budget adjustments to maintain internal and external equity in pay plans,
- Internal Consultant to Management - Accurately interpret, counsel, communicate and educate HR business partners, line managers and staff on compensation structures, benefits programs
- Work with 3rd party benefit brokers/vendors to design and negotiate market-competitive benefit programs; manage annual benefit renewal process; customize benefit programs to different geographies and evaluate effectiveness of programs
- Responsible for benefit program compliance
Professional Experience & Functional Competencies:
- Masters in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or other related field. Masters Degree preferred
- Overall 8+ years of progressive experience in compensation, finance or consulting with an in-depth knowledge of core compensation principles and best practices including legislations and regulations pertaining to compensation and benefits
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing executive compensation programs including annual incentives and long-term incentives (stock options, restricted stock and long-term performance plans)
- Strong knowledge of current market practices and trends in compensation (executive and non-executive) and benefits.
Managerial and Personal Competencies:
- Ability to lead, and work successfully with senior management and line HR to generate high degree of respect and build partnerships across functions and organizations.
- Experience with designing and administering compensation, incentive and benefit plans
- Extremely strong analytical and quantitative skills coupled with strategic/big picture orientation
- Brings a positive, constructive, solutions-oriented approach to challenges; demonstrated track record for executing quickly and with high quality
- Strong personal work style, hands-on, which is perceived to be even-handed, fact-based, and fair
