Description
- Work with Buyer to identify and source National/Regional level supplier
- Review supplier performance periodically
- Visit market at regular intervals, understand market demand, assortment gap, consumers buying pattern and strategies product assortment accordingly
- Inventory Management for Non-replenishment items
- Take regular price markdown action to clear aged Inventory in consultation with the Buyer
- Negotiate with suppliers for other income sources such as category branding, banners, aisle boards, demos, end caps etc. in order to meet margins
Profile
- Understanding of the Cleaning/Hygiene category is a must-have
- 3-6 years' experience in FMCG sales or Buying role in any retail chain
- Negotiation skills
- Quantitative skills
- Sound knowledge of retail business
- Well-versed with Retail-Link
- Good analytical and decision-making skills
Job Offer
- Handling the category on Pan India Basis
- Working closely with different functions like: Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Marketing & Membership, Legal, Compliance
