Job Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) with 2 to 4 years of post-qualification experience to join dynamic pharmaceutical organization in Chennai.
- The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic financial initiatives.
- The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, tax compliance, financial analysis, and have experience in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Ensure statutory compliance for tax audits, GST, income tax, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process in alignment with the company's strategic goals.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and cash flow management.
Internal Controls & Audits:
- Ensure robust internal controls and risk management frameworks are in place.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors and manage audit processes.
- Oversee the preparation and implementation of audit recommendations.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance:
- Handle all taxation-related activities, including direct and indirect taxes (GST, TDS, income tax).
- Stay up to date with changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance with the latest tax laws.
- Lead the filing of returns, tax assessments, and liaise with tax authorities.
Financial Analysis & Cost Management:
- Provide financial analysis for business decisions, including pricing, product costing, and investments.
- Monitor cost-control measures to drive profitability and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Analyze financial performance metrics and propose improvement strategies.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, ensuring high performance and professional development.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and R&D to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Provide financial insights and advice to senior management on business performance and strategy.
ERP & Financial Systems Management:
- Ensure the effective use of ERP systems for financial management, reporting, and analysis.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with financial reporting, audit, and compliance processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Attributes:
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or related manufacturing sector is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within tight deadlines.
