The candidate must be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and ability to create a marketing vision that includes goal-setting, strategic development, execution, and optimization with the north-star goal of driving customer acquisition. You would maintain control over the merchandising operations to execute with excellence and enhance conversion and retained customers.

You will collaborate with the sales team and service partners to come up with new methods to drive customer (and sometimes seller) acquisition. You will partner with the category team to run innovative merchandising campaigns for highlighting relevant selection to customers and execute marketing programs and promotions for small and medium businesses.

Key responsibilities for the position include:

- Develop a strategic and operational plan for marketing and site merchandising for differentiated selection. Understand and use merchandising and customer-facing metrics to guide decision making.

- Develop the category's style guidelines, merchandising calendar, and promotions.

- Conceptualize, design and execute online and offline marketing initiatives to extend awareness of our products on and off of JioMart.

- Own all key traffic drivers for the category, and work as a category advocate with central traffic teams. Possess a deep understanding of all traffic-driving mechanisms (Search, Affiliates, Email, SEO etc.) and actively engaging in optimization of those channels for the business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of marketing experience. Bachelor's degree and MBA from Tier 1 B-school with 3 years of experience with 1+ years in marketing/Product management within Ecommerce/FMCG/retail

- Exposure to regional selection/startups selling B2C and other small traders or businesses is required

- Demonstrated ability of strategic problem solving and creating/building something from scratch

- Demonstrated ability to formulate data-driven decisions that lead to results. Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

- Advanced degree in business, marketing or advertising

- Past experience of scaling a Service/product in the e-commerce space

- Past experience in digital marketing (paid search, paid display, SEO, content, paid social)

- Experience selling nascent (embryonic/start-up) products/services into new markets is desirable.
