Job Description:

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced finance [professional with expertise in international trade to join our team. The individual will play a key role overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, with a focus on managing international operations, banking financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business partnership. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a deep understanding of international trade and regulations

Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, payables & receivables management and financial reporting

- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with Indian and international accounting standards and regulations.

- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial health of the organization, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management

International Banking:

- Manage relationships with international banking partners and financial institutions.

- Execute and oversee international banking transactions, including wire transfers, currency conversions, LC/BL discounting.

- Stay updated on global banking trends, regulations, and best practices to optimize international banking operations.

Financial Reporting:

- Prepare and analyse weekly, monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards

- Provide accurate and timely financial reports and analysis to senior management and stakeholders

- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements in all jurisdictions where the company operates

Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Lead the annual budgeting process and provide financial forecasts and projections.

- Monitor budget performance and variance analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities

- Work closely with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets and forecasts

Risk Management:

- Actively partner with business team to identify and assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate exposure including freight and credit insurance etc

- Monitor compliance with internal controls and recommend improvements to minimize risk

- Stay abreast of geopolitical and economic developments that may impact the organization' financial stability

Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant

- Proven experience as a similar mid-senior roles, with at least 7 years of experience in international trade.

- Strong understanding of international accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Accounting ERPs.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
