As the Sr. Manager - Business Development for the South India market, the candidate assuming the role is expected to work closely with the Senior leadership for the Asia Pacific to drive sales penetration into the South India market.
We have already made our market entry and we are well-positioned to grow our footprint in India by identifying and onboarding distributor partners along with direct OEM accounts in verticals such as automotive, smart city, and other mobility use cases. The candidate assuming this role is expected to devise/propose strategies & tactics that will help Cavli with top-line growth.
The candidate will also be tasked with the responsibility of building a market penetration team in South India and closely working with the Product - R&D function to ensure we serves the Bangalore market most effectively.
Job Responsibilities:
- Developing new customer relationships and executing strategies for the organization to boost new account development, operations pipeline and conversion rates.
- Creating long-term clients from target markets and accounts.
- Conduct secondary research, including finding information from industry associations, and marketing experts.
- Generate reports that analyze competition and customers and also offer insights about product potential.
- Conduct meetings, make sales presentations.
- Identify new opportunities for the IoT market and conduct account management activities in multiple territories.
- Collaborate with product & sales support teams to ensure that requirements are met.
- Internal & external engagement and alignment of the tasks necessary to implement the channel partner strategy.
Required Expertise/Experience:
- Prior experience in representing Semiconductor products specifically related to Cellular IoT, Microcontroller etc.
- Good and active business association with OEMs and Design Houses in South India dealing in IoT related projects around Automotive, Industry 4.0, Smart meter, Fixed Wireless access use cases.
- Strong inclination towards embedded electronics, RF/Wireless, and the Internet of Things.
- 10-15 years of managerial experience, having guided sales-marketing-product support team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in electronics & communications engineering, computer science engineering, or electronics & instrumentation engineering.
- Postgraduate degree in management or prior experience in managerial roles in wireless communications, sales roles specialized in Semiconductor products and embedded electronics sectors.
