Senior Manager (Strong experience in Business Development in Telecom domain (Operators & Enterprises))

Experience Level: 15-20 years of experience

Minimum 15 years. Preferably with OEMs / System Integrators in Telecom (Transport domain - MW / IP / Optical)

Location: New Delhi (Based location will be Delhi but the candidate must be willing to travel extensively for ensuring coverage)

Educational Requirements:

Must Have 1) B.E / B.Tech (Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer Science, Systems) Or Equivalent

Preference 1) MBA (Marketing / IT) MBA from Tier 1 Business School

Specialization if any:

1) Strong experience in Business Development in Telecom domain (Operators & Enterprises)

2) Good understanding covering Transport/ backhaul, Software Defined Network (SDN) / Network Virtualization Function (NFV), Small Cells, related solutions.

Brief of role and responsibilities:

- Responsible for business development activity for Solutions in Telecom Operators & Enterprise segments in the assigned Territory and Industry Segments.

- The candidate must be energetic, self-motivated and must have 15+ years of experience in BD / Sales management in the Telecom Solution BD/Sales domain.

- The candidate must have good understanding of products and technologies used in Mobile / Transport backhaul - Microwave / IP / Optical projects and must have experience in end2endclosure (i.e from generating lead to contract closure )

- The candidate will be required to achieve the assigned Sales/ revenue target in a financial year in line with the organization's business objectives of selling a mix of solutions and portfolio services.

- Responsible for creating the opportunity planning, new account identification and account pipeline management, business plans etc. to achieve the set business targets and business objectives

- Develop strategic partnerships for route to market

- Develop and mature client relationships in key pursuit segments

- Anchor RFP response and proposals to the clients

- Develop alliances with Key partners and System Integrators

- Responsible for short term tactics and long term plan for the target segments

Must Have Skills/Knowledge:

Proven Skills in Sales/ Business Development to Strategic Accounts in verticals Telecom such as:

Able to work in matrix environment and Self driven for target achievement.

Preferred Skills/Knowledge:

- Demonstrated track record of building and closing delivering at least 2 or 3 large engagements (larger than USD 10Mill ) of Telecom Solutions in Operators / Enterprise Domain domain.

- Sound knowledge of SI industry and exposure to Solution- framing and Delivery

- Domain expertise in Telecom - Transport / Backhaul Solutions

- Ability to articulate and evangelize the vision and positioning of both the company and its offerings and secure long-term commitments.

- Demonstrated ability to build deep relationships at Mid & Senior level in key customers

- Ability to develop accurate business plans with revenue and P&L elements.

- The experience, credibility, and presence that enables effective working relationships at all levels within very large and complex organizations

Additional Comments(if any):

- Candidate should have Handled Private / Government Accounts and should have good knowledge of Telecom domain Solutions & sales processes

- Understands relevant business issues and the organization's operating procedures and connects these to work priorities.

- Candidate shall be working on AIRTEL account primarily.

- Typical candidates will be who has already sales experience in AIRTEL
