We are currently looking for a Sr. Manager- Business Development with one the topmost Foods/ FMCG Distribution cos in the world. This is an international assignment to be based in Yangon (formerly Rangoon) in Myanmar.

Job summary:

Develop new business for Myanmar Fast Moving Goods business unit. This will include using Global and Regional resources and guidelines, and local business requirements, to expand the Myanmar business product portfolio.

Business Development team fully leads the identification, assessment, and proposal creation for new clients.

Job responsibilities:

- Develop and oversee the execution of Group-wide/Business Unit-wide/regional/country/channel/product expansion strategies to achieve short- and long-term business objectives

- Identify, evaluate and manage business opportunities/leads in securing sales pipeline in line with short- and long-term financial goals

- Lead research/feasibility studies/market scan, evaluate findings and make recommendations to senior management about the viability of regional opportunities

- Negotiate pricing and contract terms with potential clients/customers to facilitate deal closing. Identify upselling opportunities and manage contract renegotiations with existing clients

- Generate highly professional and competitive proposals to present to C-suite level client prospects to win business for Myanmar FMCG

- Lead the improvement of current Business Development processes and cross-functional collaboration to drive effectiveness and minimize redundancy

- Identify and manage activities related to Business Development workforce capability and client/customer data management

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders in identifying upselling opportunities, deal negotiations and finalization of contracts

- Establish long-term relationships with potential key clients/customers with the view to enhance business opportunities

Functional skills and knowledge:

- Minimum of 4-5 years-experience in a fully dedicated Business Development role is mandatory

- 4+ years-experience in Fast Moving Consuming Goods is required

- Experience in marketing and sales is required

- Demonstrated experience of independently assessing market potential for new business, and independently developing the business case and client prospect proposal is required

- Experience in Business Development, Sales and/or Marketing in Southeast Asia is highly desirable.

- Experience of bbusiness development experience with or for medium- to large-sized companies in similar industries highly desirable

- General understanding of business value creation, and analytical skills is fully expected

- Experience of using and generating market research and insight fully expected

- Proven client and customer account management skills

- Demonstrate ability to manage global/regional/country level assignments and projects

- Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in cross-country/-cultural interactions

- Demonstrate fluency in English (both written and spoken)

Education

- Degree in Business Studies/Marketing, or similarly relevant education background

- Degrees that require conceptual problem solving, modeling and analysis are also suitable (Engineering, etc.)

Work experience

- Minimum 4-5 years-experience in FMCG business development required

- Minimum of 5 years-experience in FMCG overall required to include BD, Sales and Marketing

- Minimum of two to three years- experience in a managerial capacity

Salary: Best in the FMCG industry- Around 50000-55000 USD p.a+ Housing and Car (Annual CTC around Rs.45.0 LPA)
