Role : Sr Manager - Business Continuity Planning (BCP) - IT/ITeS/BPO /KPO
(ii) Estimate the intangible (operational) impacts for each business unit, assuming a worst-case scenario
(iii) Identify the organization s business unit processes and the estimated recovery time and recovery point framework
(iv) Identify and assess critical systems/applications and services being outsourced and estimate recovery time and point framework for the same.
Manage Business Continuity Plan for the Organization
- Update the Business Continuity Plan on the basis of BIA assessment and maintain BCP in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate the review, maintenance and testing of Business Continuity Plans and ensure these plans remain valid and fit for purpose by working with all functional areas and Second Line.
- Activate Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for affected departments. Develop recovery strategies and communicate those strategies with BCP group.
- Lead the BCP Coordination calls to provide status update on BCP testing schedule, testing results and lesson learnt from the testing activities. Provide the Management Information (MI) reporting detailing the status of all Business Continuity Plans.
- Manage the emergency communications system used by Organisation and ensure that all staff are appropriately covered by this system. Update policies, procedures and BCP Plan/framework on periodic basis.
Operational Resilience:
Lead and manage the Operational Resilience program periodically to:
(i) identify critical/important business services
(ii) Set Impact Tolerance for critical/important business services
(iii) End-to-end business service mapping and
(iv) Current state nd testing.
- Periodically update the operational resilience thresholds based on the changes to the macroeconomic environment and business condition.
- Align with second line for changes to any thresholds to ensure the thresholds are valid and fit for purpose.
- Develop testing scenarios and connect scenario analysis to wider business stress testing.
- Establish improvement plans and manage regular test schedule.
Qualification / Work Experience & Skills:
- Post-Graduate / Graduate with 6 to 10 Yrs of experience of which last 4yrs into BCP
- Should have experience in implementing & managing BCP for a BPO / Back Office Setup
- Willing to Work in UK / US Shifts
- Knowledge: in-depth knowledge of business continuity risk and its frameworks and tools
- Analytical skills: analyses complex technical issues and distils them, and delivers clear recommendations which are understandable and credible for the management
- Teamwork: reaches out to and cooperates with the first line to establish an overall collaborative relationship
- Communication: speaks and writes clearly and articulately without being overly verbose or talkative. Maintains this standard in all forms of written communications, including email.
