The role is responsible for BCM in India and will direct BCM activities, drive through strategy, coordinate forums and manage incidents impacting the operation.
- Key components of the role include ensuring completion of prescribed requirements in the BCM lifecycle such as business impact assessments, plan updates and testing.
- The role will train and guide those responsible for carrying out the core BCM activities and maintaining and providing the BCM toolsets used.
- The role is responsible for ensuring minimum BCM standards are adhered to in each of the locations and will bring in best practice to the organisation.
Your key accountabilities
- Direct all business continuity planning efforts across India, particularly the business-wide testing and validation programme.
- Enable a centre of excellence and promotion of best practices in business continuity.
- Drive the BCM strategy, bring India stakeholders along to consensus, focus on output. Assist in the design and maintenance of alternative sites, business components, and procedures to keep the location in state of readiness.
- Coordinate testing information, scheduling and execution of tests with the recovery site. Review and direct periodic recovery plan revisions / updates based on test results.
- Forecast and track the completion of prescribed continuity requirements.
- Train and guide those responsible for carrying out core components of the BCM requirements and raise BCM awareness in India.
- Maintain and provide the BCM toolset used in the completion of these BCM requirements.
- Identify business function resource requirements. This includes areas such as hardware, software, vendor information, essential personnel and facility space.
- Monitor adherence to company policy and standards.
- Challenge and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of each department's BCM status.
- Manage the content and use of Critical, the BCM Sharepoint and intranet portals.
- Facilitate Crisis Management and Emergency Response Planning 24- 7 (call availability will be required outside regular business hours).
- Coordinate BCM initiatives and projects as initiated by the BCM team.
- Develop and coordinate business wide table top exercises.
- Coordinate internal continuity communication forums.
- Although the role will initially focus on India it is expected that coverage will be extended to Tunisia.
Skills and Experience:
- 5-7 years business continuity experience with full BCM lifecycle experience.
- Proven experience in incident response and crisis management.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining BCM toolsets.
- Project management skills.
- Qualifications obtained in DRII, BCI or similar would be an advantage.
