Build strategic alliances with potential partners like PSU Banks, RRB, HFC/NBFC and other large entities through partner identification, acquisition. Central Strategy & Process Management for crafting value proposition / PPTs and structuring financial proposition business case for the PAN India prospects.
1. Identification of potential partners/opportunities - Identify opportunities and evaluate partners to understand business potential and then build relationships with the prospects in a timely manner - Understand the needs of the partners and provide inputs in proposal/FP (in case of public sector banks) preparation to create a value proposition - Target new and upcoming partners (e.g. payments banks, newly licensed banks) and customize offering basis their needs to be the insurance partner for them and get the first mover advantage - Scan the external environment and monitor the competitor actions offers to further improve the proposition and remain competitive
2. Finalization of deals - Prepare the overall business proposition (pitch deck), structure the deal and present to senior management/shareholders for review - Negotiate with partners by explaining the value proposition, brand value, mutual benefits to secure a profitable deal - Manage the deal making part of any relationship by meeting and networking with all the relevant officials and explaining the synergies.
3. Market Intelligence - Scan external environment to keep abreast with advances in technology, process and talent capability and best practices - Gathering information from various sources about the potential.
Achieve Financial targets:
- Achieve KPI in terms of acquiring number of partners.
- Potential premium through the newly acquired partners.
- Customer / Prospect Management
- Opportunity Mapping Banks incl. PSU, HFC, NBFC, SFB, Payments Bank and other large opportunities
- Reaching out / establish engagement, meetings, negotiation and closure.
- Ensure CDO & Vertical Head engagement basis requirement.
- Proposal / PPT / RFP Document / Quotation to be submitted.
Internal Process Management
- Co-Ordination & collaboration with the internal state holders (Actuarial, Finance, L&C, IT, Ops / BSG, PMO and Business Team) for specific inputs / requirements
- Preparing & receiving internal concurrence -
- Proposal / PPT / RFP Document / Business Plan / Quotation etc.
- Managing Partner On-boarding Process.
- Managing Business tracker and related reports.
Technical Skills:
- Thorough understanding of the General insurance domain
- Atleast 4 years' experience of managing Business Development / Strategic Alliances in general insurance.
- Experience of managing coordination with EXCO / Senior Leadership Team of the Banks / Large Accounts
- Business acumen in crafting value proposition, strong in PowerPoint, excel.
- Good understanding of finance and technology
