Senior Manager/AVP - Regulatory Reporting

One of our leading Investment banking clients in Gurgaon is looking for Sr. Manager / AVP role.

Job Description

The candidate will be required to leverage his / her accounting, SQL knowledge and leadership skills to :

- Manage a team of 5-7 accountants with technical knowledge (SQL) to migrate new process related to Mortgage related data / reporting

- Ensure Data Integrity controls for timeliness and accuracy at various stages of interface, including a special focus on readiness for month end data cut offs

- Write detailed accounting and reporting requirements on SEC, Regulatory Reporting, BASEL and other business supported user needs

- Support interactions with regulators, compliance, risk, audit groups and technology teams

- Ensure smooth handover of data to downstream applications

- Support accounting and reconciliation teams in explaining balances at the period close

- Support any changes to the data flows overtime as the bank aligns its technology architecture with authorized data sources

- Deliver presentations to Sr. Management and Executives in addition to managing communication needs for a diverse group of stakeholders

Responsibilities/ Skills :

- Strong accounting background, preferably CA/CPA with good understanding of financial transactions and most importantly related accounting entries and concepts like BASEL, SEC and regulatory reporting.

- Data management experience preferably with banking industry. Knowledge of Mortgage industry will be a plus

- Proficiency in MS Office Tools including Excel and Visual Basic

- Accounting and financial analysis- ability to compare, identify differences, understanding accounting entries and apply judgment to raise flags

- Good communication and presentation skills (both verbal & written) to work effectively with varying levels of people (Global Finance & business partners, Technology, etc.)
