Senior Manager/AVP - Operational Risk - MNC Bank Captive

Job responsibilities

Responsible for effectively managing operational risk management and compliance activities in offshore business environment partnering with Leadership and other Risk partners.

Contribute in improving the world's most stable bank's risk practices

Understand and support existing risk practices

Recommend and implement improvements to the current practice

Demonstrated experience across the operational risk dimensions including risk assessments, BCP, compliance, and information security

Help business owners identify inherent risk

Become a trusted to partner to business owners

Provide proactive support in the identification of potential risk

Help business owners to implement risk mitigation with minimum disruption to the business

Communicate complex risk issues to senior business owners, verbally and in writing

Be self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable in a multi-cultural environment

Able to work independently in chaotic environments and develop and implement a solution

Develop and promote a positive risk culture environment through risk awareness programs

Perform risk assessments, periodic monitoring and reporting

Experience

13-15 years of overall experience with a minimum of 8 years in Operational Risk Management & Compliance in a captive unit of a MNC financial institution or BPO space.

Knowledge of the operational risk & compliance framework and disciplines primarily in the banking industry and its related operations

Demonstrate collaboration, strong negotiation, communication, presentation and influence skills

Proven ability in exercising independent judgment and applying prudent risk mitigation principles

Consulting experience with senior management teams; People Manager experience and Excellent team

Experience in Risk reporting, Key Risk metrics, Risk assessments and Risk score card development.

Education

Post Graduate (MBA or Chartered Accountant or equivalent) from a reputed institute

Certifications - Certified Risk Professional and/or CRISC, CISA, CIA or similar certification
