QUALIFICATION: LL.B., LL.M. or equivalent
Experience - 10 to 15 yrs
The present opening is for a senior position within the Contract Drafting and Review team within Legal Managed Services which provides long-term contract review, negotiation and management services, structured as ongoing engagements, to over 25 global corporations through a team of 90+ bright attorneys located at delivery centers.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Managing/co-managing the Noida service delivery center
- Leading, managing and inspiring a team of over contract review attorneys who are individually responsible for multiple client accounts and personnel
- Guiding project managers with engagement set-up during the implementation stage, and retaining general oversight in the day-to-day functioning and management of engagements in steady state
- Being the go-to-person for redressal of any engagement, client- or personnel- related issues
- Working with senior subject matter experts on foundation level training programs for new hires, and ongoing training and upskilling of other team members
- Being responsible for the career growth, motivation and retention of team members, and supplementing HR's hiring efforts
- Ensuring service delivery in accordance with the agreed project scope, ensuring overall client satisfaction and compliance with SLAs, and actively identifying client needs and ways to fulfill those needs
- Working with the Sales team to craft solutions and proposals for new client opportunities
- Collaborating with the leadership team in overall strategy including identifying additional areas for service delivery and growth
COMPETENCIES:
- Strong subject matter expertise; deep knowledge of and experience with the review, redlining and negotiation of a wide range of commercial contracts, preferably on both the buy- and sell- sides
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong client- and external party-facing skills: main point of contact with external representatives in connection with particular projects.
- Highly responsive to the needs of both internal (including reporting managers, other project managers and team members) as well as external clients
- Strong presentation and training skills; project-specific training is a core responsibility
- Strong project management skills, including firm grasp of contract management processes and metrics
