Senior Manager - Analytics & MIS - Life Insurance

Daily duties and responsibilities:

- Custodian of scorecards, dashboards and detailed reports required for tracking various business KPIs and metrices. Develop and improve methodology deployed for calculation of various KPIs.

- Circulate reports with the sales teams, cross-functional teams and senior leaders as per the agreed cadence - daily, weekly, monthly. Support ad-hoc data requirements of stakeholders.

- Perform RCA and diagnostics using data as and when required. Identify trends, improve data visualization for providing insightful analysis of business data.

- Harness the tech tools available internally by collaborating with a team of data scientists to deploy cutting-edge analytics models and AI/ML driven data products in the channel.

- Streamline extraction of MIS from BI tool and ERP systems. Automate extraction of certain reports to drive efficiency and reduce TAT.

- Share data cuts, dashboards, slide decks for various reviews with the campaign managers, sales teams and senior management.

- Responsible for data hygiene, quality and accuracy of the dashboards. Build processes to create error-free and easily producible reports.

- Collaborate with other cross-functional teams - project management, BI, Technology etc. to lead development of features in tech tools required as per business priorities. Conduct UAT and prepare GTM for rollout to end users.

- Coordinate with vendors, manage SLA to maintain regular delivery of agreed activities and monitor changes as per business requirements.

- Manage a team of 2-6 analysts. Coach and mentor junior team members to bring them upto speed. Train them to build technical and soft skills and drive efficiency and throughput. Review progress on various tasks and deliverables.

Technical Skills required:

- Strong analytical skills - Proficient in usage of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Advanced Excel skills - Functions, Power BI, VBA, Macros. Able to write SQL queries etc.

- Good knowledge of ERP systems and BI tools like SAP, Cognos, Qlik, Tableau etc.

- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, R to mine data. Experience in automation through deployment of RPA tools, bots.

- Well versed with AI/ML techniques. Experience in implementing supervised/unsupervised methods, algorithms to drive business performance.

Functional Skills required:

- Excellent communication, problem-solving and presentation skills. A team player with strong collaboration & cross-functional stakeholder management skills. Should be able to influence without authority.

- Project management skills- planning ability with strategic bent of mind.

- Team Management skills - knows how to coach, guide, engage and manage a diverse team.

Qualification and Experience:

- B.Tech , MBA from a reputed institute. Degree in Data Science/ Analytics will be helpful.

- Solid experience in designing and creating analytics frameworks, set up analytics systems and processes.

- Business acumen developed through understanding the importance of data and its role in driving business performance.

- 4-10 years of experience required.

- Previous experience in BFSI will be helpful but not mandatory for an exceptional candidate
