Experience : Min.12 Years( Exposure of Mines Industry is mandatory)

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join the team as an Assistant General Manager (AGM) or Senior Manager in the field of Sustainability, specifically within the Mines and Minerals industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable practices, policies, and initiatives to ensure environmental and social responsibility in mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Sustainability Strategy:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with the organization's goals and industry best practices.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability principles into mining operations.

Environmental Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with local and international environmental regulations.

- Oversee environmental impact assessments and implement measures to mitigate negative effects.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including local communities, regulatory bodies, and NGOs, to foster positive relationships and address sustainability concerns.

Resource Efficiency:

- Identify opportunities to enhance resource efficiency and reduce environmental impact in mining processes.

- Implement measures to optimize water and energy consumption.

Social Responsibility:

- Develop and implement social responsibility programs that contribute to the well-being of local communities.

- Monitor and report on social performance indicators.

Climate Action:

- Implement strategies to reduce the carbon footprint of mining operations.

- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in sustainable mining practices.

Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare and submit sustainability reports in accordance with industry standards and regulations.

- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to sustainability initiatives.

Risk Management:

- Identify and assess sustainability-related risks and develop strategies for mitigation.

- Collaborate with the risk management team to ensure the integration of sustainability into overall risk management practices.

Desired Candidature :

- Experience in sustainability or a related field within the mining industry.

- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability standards.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

- Proven track record of implementing successful sustainability initiatives.
