LLB from reputed law school
- 10-12 years of experience in real estate/ retail.
- He / she should have expert knowledge of Indian Contract Act, Transfer of Property Act, Rent Control Act, real estate laws applicable to commercial premises.
- He / she should have good exposure to litigation with good knowledge of procedural law;
- He / she should be abreast with latest developments in legal field.
- He/she should have good legal aptitude, excellent drafting and negotiating skills with flair for finding innovative solutions to break deadlocks, be a strong communicator with excellent inter-personal skills.
- To provide transactional support to the business teams associated with the Group's business by overseeing the timely preparation, negotiation and execution of high quality and low risk LLAs, and contracts.
- To provide timely legal advisory support to the business teams in handling the operational and compliance related issues pertaining to the business.
- Representing the Group in various litigation matters and coordination of the same with external counsels.
- Responsible for the Legal function of the Centre, identifying, anticipating and mitigating legal risk.
- Identifying and coordinating with various counsels and advising the management on various deal structures, agreement templates;
- Responsible for drafting and vetting of various commercial documents, Lease Deeds, Leave & License Agreements, CAM Agreements, etc.
- Ensure and oversee timely submission of relevant documents and returns to external stakeholders / regulatory authorities and represent the company for resolution of any legal issue or escalation
- Drive the legal negotiations personally with key clients.
- Ensures that the negotiations with contractors/vendors/clients are carried out smoothly and if required get involved into resolution of any disputes/litigations
- Represent the Company before various regulatory authorities/Courts of law for resolution of any legal issues
- Ensure effective litigation management of all cases -identification, appointment and management of external litigation partners, filing of cases and monitoring their progress, and provide timely updates to the business leadership
- Statutory/ Regulatory Compliance Management
- Ensure generation of weekly/ monthly MIS
