Job Title :Sr.Manager Accounts & Finance
Department : Global Business Services (GBS)
Location : Gurgaon, India
Responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust control environment and for internal and external financial reporting, while delivering strategic and business decision support to IT, R&D and Global Business Services (GBS) in India. Acts as the primary business partner to the AMEA GBS Site Leader and will have no responsibility for the commercial organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Company Secretary - Services Legal Entity: Responsible for all aspects of compliance and secretarial duties
- General Accounting: Oversees financial and accounting processes to ensure compliance with Corporate and local policies, statutory requirements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles/Standards and ethical standards with unyielding integrity; Serves as the primary contact with independent auditors and audit-related accounting matters; Manages administration of accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory control accounting, payroll, and local tax payments; Oversees month end close process to ensure timely close and financial reports preparation.
- Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis: Develops and maintains planning and budgeting processes and systems; Prepares financial reports meeting Corporate and Regional financial reporting requirements on a timely basis; Analyzes, interprets and reports operating results to local management and makes specific recommendations to achieve cost effectiveness and profit improvements; Provides sales reporting and analyses; drives improvement in sales forecasting process; Anticipates management needs and develop analyses in response to those needs and in support of management decisions.
- Taxation: Payment and calculation of all local taxes; Maintains of all substantiation records for tax; Assesses and makes provision for tax payable; Liaises with Corporate Tax on transfer pricing issues; Liaises with Ernst & Young (external) to ensure audit compliance.
- Controls: Develops local and implements Global accounting policies, procedures and internal controls in support with business processes and decisions; Ensures all activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands, ethical standards and the internal Quality Management System.
- Treasury: Oversees operational cash management and cash flow forecasting; Handles bank administration, funds transfers and foreign exchange dealings under the direction of Corporate Treasury.
- Balance Sheet and Assets Management: Works with operating personnel to achieve effective balance sheet and assets management; Develops and maintains credit and collection policies, procedures and processes for effective AR management; Participates in development and carrying-out of inventory control procedures, including physical stock-take, audit and control of both warehouse and hospital consignment inventory; Accounts for and maintains proper inventory reserves for Excess, Expired and Obsolete Inventory; Directs and co-ordinates effective cash management and cash forecasting to ensure smooth cash flows for business operations while maintaining a minimum idle cash balance; Maintains asset register to well keep track on and safeguard company assets.
- Implements and drives process improvements.
- Participates in cross-functional teams addressing alternate business practices.
- Identify key financial issues; report, interpret and translate them into terms meaningful to business partners and functional managers.
- Anticipates financial needs of business partners; proactively develops financial solutions to those requirements.
- Recruit, retain and develop finance staff.
- Information Technology Management (if applicable in country).
- Quality: Provides input to the Quality committee in finance specific local issues, with the purpose of wither finding a solution form other countries- experiences or providing advice on potential barriers for other countries and local regulations; Drives compliance in all finance related matters (CA&C, SOX, Statutory, monthly Closing); Participates in implementing Quality requirements in all aspects of the Finance Process; Participates in driving quality awareness in every employee, while guiding the local organization towards improved performance and customer oriented initiatives; Co-ensures that employees are notified of all mandatory training and quality obligations with HR Managers - Tracks completion of mandatory training.

Scope
Applicant qualifications (10-12 years post qualification experience):
- CA - with Big 4 experience
- Industry Experience - MNC exposure in Matrix Organization Structure in the Core Finance Team
- Active member with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India
Accomplishes results through professional specialist employees or subordinate managers and supervisors who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments. Provides direction and monitors progress toward departmental goals; monitors costs of projects and of human and material resources within a department or unit; monitors company-wide indicators such as market share and profitability; monitors external environment in area of technical or professional responsibility. Subject to approval, modifies the organizational structure of centralized functions and units. Often responsible for managing a staff function of the company.
Supervision Received
Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Work is reviewed by senior management in terms of meeting the organization's objectives and schedules.
Supervision Provided
Provides direction and guidance to professional specialist employees or subordinate managers and supervisors. Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies. Manages, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing. Evaluates performance of and assists in career development planning for subordinates.
Job Complexity
This is a start up environment which requires hands on approach and development of processes, working with cross functional teams. Works on issues of large and diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires expert knowledge of area of expertise and in-depth understanding of organizational objectives. Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements. In some instances, this manager may be responsible for managing a staff function and may not have subordinate managers.
Policy Involvement
Establishes operating policies and procedures that affect immediate subordinate organizational units and may have company-wide effect. Interprets, executes, and recommends modifications to organizational policies. Develops and/or identifies new work processes and the improved utilization of human and material resources within the assigned or related functions or groups.
