Seeking a Sr. Manager - Accounts for a client of Sapwood Ventures in Mumbai.
Qualification - CA
Role and Responsibility:
Accounts & Book Keeping:
- Accounting, book-keeping and Finalization of Accounts through as per Indian Accounting Standards, Indian GAAP , SEBI guidelines and Industry practices
- Finalizing accounting note, charts of accounts, Programming Cost Amortization policy,
- Finalization of books of accounts within statutory time frame, preparation of annual reports ,preparation of reports as per Accounting Standards ,periodic review of trial balances, managing control accounts
Finance:
- Working capital Management, Mutual Fund Investments,
- Authorized signatory for banking - in charge of Day to day banking, Supporting VP-Finance in borrowings Fund based/ non fund based incl. Bank Guarantees, LCs, making Foreign Exchange Payment
Budgeting & Management information System (MIS):
- Co-ordination with various Profit centre head in preparation of business plan, yearly budgets ,comparing actual performance through daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly MIS reports
- Comparing budgets of Production department, live events, Technical department, marketing activities with actual through variance analysis
- Preparation of MIS reports for various segments of business Cost centers like HR, Finance, Facility , technical, programming, production expenses
Direct & Indirect Tax Compliances:
- Handling tax audits, attending tax assessments, ensuring submission of quarterly, yearly returns under provisions of Income tax and Service tax acts
- Ensuring TDS compliances for Foreign remittances under DTAA and income tax provisions
- Payroll Processing & compliances of PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity & other labour laws
- Tax planning to maximize service tax input credits, avoid disallowance of losses, set off and carry forwarding business losses
Legal & Secretarial Compliances:
- Ensuring secretarial compliances including minute books, statutory registers, ROC compliances for Fees, returns, e-filling of various forms,
- Compliances of Lease/L&L agreements, MOUs ,Operational licenses
- Handling registration of various trademarks and copy rights for Neo Sports
Others:
- Insurance Negotiation and finalization of Various insurance policies such as fire, loss of profit, specialized policies for live matches, D&O policies, Marine Insurances, Cash in transit, cashier fidality, staff group mediclaim policies
- Setting up internal control system to prevent revenue leakages
- Supporting management on financial working of Operating/ finance lease of broadcasting Equipment, availing export benefits, input credits on CAPEX.
- Liasioning with bankers , Tax departments & other government departments
Must requisites:-
- CA
- Has handled financial closing and preparation of balance sheet, profit and loss account
- Handled audit of Big Four audit firms
- Had a team reporting to him/her
- High degree of excel skills
- Very comfortable with PPT
- Articulate
