Job Description: Sr. Manager Legal (Head of Legal Department)
Location: Delhi
Experience: 9-20 years
Industry Preference: Rolling Stock (preferred), Automobile, MNC.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Legal Strategy and Compliance:
- Develop and implement legal strategies to support the organization's objectives.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements across all operations.
2. Drafting and Documentation:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Ensure that all documentation is legally sound and aligned with corporate policies.
3. Arbitration and Dispute Resolution:
- Handle arbitration cases and other legal disputes effectively.
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings and liaise with external counsel when required.
4. Corporate Legal Support:
- Provide legal counsel on corporate matters, mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance regulations and practices.
5. Research and Advisory:
- Conduct in-depth legal research and stay updated with the latest legal developments.
- Advise management on potential risks and legal implications of business decisions.
6. Travel:
- Flexible to travel across India to manage legal matters and attend court hearings or arbitration sessions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in the rolling stock or automobile industry (preferred).
- Expertise in arbitration and dispute resolution.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
- Excellent research capabilities with an eye for detail.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Indian legal systems, corporate laws, and international legal standards.
- Experience working in multinational corporations or large enterprises.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage legal teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
