Senior Lead - Communications And Public Relations
- Event success: Build and manage partnerships with multiple stakeholders to ensure event success.
- Leading a team and multiple stakeholders to be able to meet strategic goals.
- Onboard, and manage partners such as PR, media, event management companies and other relevant stakeholders.
- Engage with internal stakeholders such as communications, and leadership to build buy in and leverage feedback on media and communications strategy.
- Manage relationships with industry bodies such as alliances in partnership with the Industry Partnership Senior Lead to drive clarity and execution on media and communications plan.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy to achieve program objectives, staying within budget constraints, and making data-driven adjustments for better results.
Media Strategy: Spearhead end to end media planning:
- Design and lead execution of the overall communications and media strategy for the Social Rewards Platform
- Develop and execute an end-to-end PR and event media strategy, leveraging both internal teams and external vendors
- Create a media relations strategy to secure prominent placements in print and social media outlets.
Team Details:
- Selected candidates will be part of the Industry Partnerships Team
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Public Policy, Social Work or related field.
- Relevant experience in working with any industry handling events/corporate communication or public relations.
- Good skills in PR management, process management, event management and problem- solving skills.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible, professional experience in managing event processes as part of consulting assignments will be an advantage.
Demonstrated Skills in:
- Proficiency in building and maintaining relationships with media outlets, journalists, vendor management and reporters to secure media coverage and promote the event.
- The ability to develop a comprehensive PR and media strategy aligned with the event's goals and objectives, including identifying key messaging and communication channels.
- Knowledge of using various PR tactics to promote the event, including media partnerships, influencer collaborations, and press conferences.
- Prior experience in conceptualizing, designing and managing a recognition initiative is an added plus.
