As a Sr Global Manufacturing Engineering manager, you will be responsible for implementation of various global manufacturing engineering programs of the company at manufacturing sites. You will own developing methodologies that improves implementation of manufacturing processes improvements, drive efficiency improvements, reduce costs, and ensure consistent product quality across our global operations. This role involves collaborating with diverse teams across multiple regions to achieve annual operating plan and support the company's overall objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Global programs implementation ownership:
- Identifying opportunity for standardization, harmonization, and best practice sharing, subsequently driving synchronized implementation across sites
- Enabling processes and BKM for efficient & effective alignment and implementation of manufacturing programs spread across different sites.
Process Optimization:
- Collaborate with site-specific engineering teams to streamline manufacturing processes and ensure global consistency.
- Implement Lean philosophy through the value stream to drive operational excellence across all locations.
Best in class Quality:
- Work closely with Global operations quality team for fast and effective resolution of problems reported from install base.
- Implement quality control processes that ensure product consistency and compliance with specifications, including SEMI mandated requirements.
Cost Management:
- Manage the global manufacturing engineering budget effectively, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
- Implement cost savings initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.
Culture, Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all manufacturing operations across the globe comply with relevant industry regulations and safety standards.
- Ensure and uphold a global safety culture across sites.
Team leadership:
- Lead, mentor and develop a diverse team of manufacturing engineers spread across different regions.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the global manufacturing engineering team.
Harnes company's geo-strategy for talent access:
- Accountable for global manufacturing's remote center of execution performance to aligned annual operating plan.
- Own aligning long term functional roadmap that meets global manufacturing objectives and addresses resource challenges as outlined by specific sites.
- Leverage co-existence of hardware engineering and several global operations functions for incremental value output.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial engineering/manufacturing engineering/mechanical engineering or related field; a Master's degree is preferred
- Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in manufacturing engineering, with a substantial portion in leadership or managerial roles
- Strong knowledge of global manufacturing operations, including experience in managing multiple sites across different regions
- Past experience working in a Lean manufacturing set up highly desirable
- Excellent leadership, communication, and intercultural skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Proficient in budget management and project execution
- Familiarity with international regulations and standards
- Semiconductor equipment manufacturing knowledge desirable
