Sr. Manager - Fulfillment
Reports To: The Sr. Manager - Fulfilment will report to Director Output Marketplace
Job Overview: 12-15 years' experience in logistics management, planning and maintaining daily Distribution Centre Supply Chain operations, customer service, demand management and order fulfilment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Primary Logistics:
- Manage the end-to-end logistics operations. This would include movement of domestic material from production regions to distribution centres/port and movement of imported material from port to cold storages.
- Source good logistics partners- transporters and clearing agents.
- Engage into long term contracts and operationalize the logistics operations with them considering the growth plans of the business.
Distribution centres management:
- Ensure Inventory management with minimum deviations.
- Set the strategies and oversee execution to optimize Warehousing cost, efficiency & productivity by identifying continuous improvement and operational excellence projects.
- Should be able to identify and address operational bottlenecks instantly.
- Responsible for analysing and presenting warehousing Cost & Service performance trends.
- Focuses on design and development of new outbound process to manage the growing volumes.
- Manage and upskill the Operations teams in the Distribution centres.
Secondary Logistics:
- Optimize last mile beatwise logistics movement.
- Ensure effective use of technology wherever possible
- Source logistics network partners who can deliver the products cost effectively.
- Promote the use of eco friendly delivery vehicles.
Overall:
- Demonstrate effective use of technology in the entire operations.
- Develop optimization changes to an organization's business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability.
- Meet the profitability goals & successfully lead the team to achieve the organizational goals.
- Analyse and interpret Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and action plans.
- Work closely with stakeholders - internal and/or external to develop short term tactical improvements.
Qualifications:
- Business school graduate
- Expert knowledge of Excel.
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with attention to details.
- Understanding of Process excellence
- Strong Business Acumen
- Strong sense of detailing in day-to-day work
- The candidate should have entrepreneurial attitude.
- The candidate should have good understanding of a standard WMS & should have thorough understanding of WMS features.
- Six Sigma Certification required.
