Summary

The firm is looking for a Senior Executive Director to lead specified assurance advisory service lines. This is a leadership position that requires an entrepreneurial mind-set to build on a strong foundation and take the practice to the next level. The position provides ample scope for growth within the Firm.

The Assurance Advisory service lines cover the following services across various industry verticals (herein after referred to as Specified Services:

Risk Advisory

Internal Audits

Process Consulting

Forensic Services and

Compliance and Assurance services (particularly to firms in Banking and Financial Services sector)

Title: Senior Executive Director

Reporting to: Senior Managing Director

Background

Keeping in mind the aggressive growth plans of the Group in India and globally, there is a need felt to add a leader for Specified Services in Assurance Advisory to help in taking the practice to the next level and in transforming the practice. Currently the practice serves global companies in India, UAE and a few other countries. The candidate should actively develop current leaders in these service verticals and demonstrate leadership and entrepreneurial skills to grow into a larger role in the future. This position has plenty of room to grow for a promising candidate.

The Role

This is a leadership position that requires an entrepreneurial mind-set to build on a strong foundation and take the practice to the next level, achieving 3-4X of its present revenue size, in the next 3-5 years. Various associates spread across India and UAE; and some of the current service leaders/directors operating in the specified lines of services will directly/indirectly report into the new leader.

The role is to transform the service verticals by:

- Leveraging technology

Providing better value-added solutions to customers and helping them to

Optimize their costs

Grow the business and

Provide assurance on business processes and compliances

Understanding and calibrating the competitive landscape (and competitors approach towards similar service offerings).

Align current services with best practices in the market/global trends.

The leader should consistently grow the services through transformation/innovation and such new revenues should contribute 40-50% of the associated practice revenues over a period of three years

Key Result Areas

Corporate

Financial performance including, overall growth - revenues, gross and net margins and receivables; and Goal setting including five-year plans, annual business plan, and goals at each level of the practice leadership, aligned to the Group and COO goals.

Business growth

- Strategy formulation and implementation:

- Developing Sales and Marketing strategy for the practice;

- Articulating the firm's value proposition

- Ensuring and monitoring implementation of the strategy with help of Global Sales and Global Marketing functions;

- Remaining current and understanding competition in the market;

- Sensing market changes and client expectations to bring changes in or expanding service offerings within the practice.

Client Relationships

- Engage with client's senior management to understand their needs and expectations, and feedback on a regular basis so that our delivery is focused at all times on value creation for the client.

- Engage with client's senior management to grow the relationship beyond that of a service provider to a trusted business partner. Identifying and communicating to the client the knowledge coupled with tailor-made models that can be leveraged to build appropriate solutions for the Customers.

Sales & Marketing

- Achieving the practice's revenue target, including revenue mix from products and geographies;

- Playing an active role in key sales pitches at all stages, from lead conversion to negotiation and closure;

- Being visible in the market as a thought leader by participating in speaking and writing opportunities, and participating in seminars and conferences;

- Understanding client business and creating awareness regarding the Group's service offerings;

- Sensing client needs and bringing in the Group's global sales to offer relevant services

- Driving strategic business opportunities for the services including establishing & maintaining alliances

- Around 60-70% of the incumbent's work profile would be into Sales and Business Development. He/she would be expected to not only carry out mining of existing clients but more importantly get in new clients across the geographies of India/ UAE/ Europe/USA.

Service Excellence/Operations

- Maintaining relationship with key customers and ensuring services offerings are aligned with customer needs

- Aligning vertical quality framework/initiatives with Firm's expectations on quality management

- Build an ecosystem that enables the practice to harness expertise, including technology, that is required for providing services to clients;

- Work with other practices within the Group to build and deliver seamless solutions on cross functional projects.

Desired Candidate

- CA/MBA/CWA/CPA with 15-25 years of relevant experience within the Non Attest function

- Working with a consulting firm or majorly with a consulting firm in a client facing role.

- Very good communications skills, both oral and written.

- Ability to work together in cross functional teams as a team member is a must.

- Strong inter-personal skills

- Proven track record of leadership.

- Willing to coach and mentor

- Willingness and openness for new ideas from internal and external customers.

- Comfortable with Technology

- Entrepreneurial bent of mind
