About the job:

Responsibilities:

- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on companies within the FMCG/Consumer Durables, Oil and Gas, IT, Pharma/Health, Telecommunications, Media/Entertainment, Automotive, and Energy sectors.

- Generate investment recommendations based on fundamental analysis, industry trends, and financial modeling to support investment decision-making processes.

- Develop and maintain financial models, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to assess company performance and valuation.

- Monitor macroeconomic factors, regulatory changes, and industry developments that may impact the performance of companies in covered sectors.

- Produce detailed research reports, presentations, and investment theses for internal stakeholders, clients, and external publications.

- Build and maintain relationships with company management teams, industry experts, and other relevant sources to gather insights and information.

- Provide timely updates and insights to portfolio managers, traders, and other investment professionals regarding sector-specific developments and investment opportunities.

- Collaborate with other research analysts and team members to share insights, conduct peer reviews, and contribute to overall research strategy.

- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in equity research and continuously enhance analytical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree (e.g, MBA, CFA) preferred.

- Proven experience as an equity research analyst covering multiple sectors, with a focus on FMCG/Consumer Durables, Oil and Gas, IT, Pharma/Health, Telecommunications, Media/Entertainment, Automotive, and Energy.

- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment principles, and valuation methodologies.

- Proficiency in financial modeling, including advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Bloomberg or other financial data platforms preferred.

- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

- High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all aspects of work
