Senior Enterprise Architect- IT strategy

Responsibilities :

Strategic :

- Contribute towards aligning the IT strategy with the organization's strategic business objectives

- Contribute towards developing and driving adoption of standard architectural frameworks or reference architectures across the enterprise

- Continually scan the changing technological landscape, tap trends, and identify potentially viable solutions for the Group; Upgrade and transform technologies that serve as the basis for the IT services and solutions.

- Collaborate with CIOs of different businesses to develop as-is and target architecture landscape and provide insights regarding the viability and solution design of technology solutions/ platforms from an enterprise architecture perspective

- Collaborate with the internal COEs at the group level (and if required, with external partners) to evaluate new solutions, technology, and partners for different projects

- Review project on established milestones to ensure compliance to specifications from architecture perspective

- Analyse & generate insights on lifecycle of different systems/ applications and accordingly give recommendations regarding continuity/ decommissioning of systems/ applications

- Liaison with new IT Start-ups, Universities, and strategic IT/ Tech partners to identify new technology trends that are relevant for the organization

- Define and maintain the Application Portfolio Management guidelines and contribute towards Application Portfolio rationalization

- Foster innovation and ensure adoption of new technologies as needed. Bring and establish industry best practices.

Operational :

- Support multiple projects and maintain architectural oversight for solution development, system integration, cyber-security aspects, with overall responsibility for the solution architecture for those projects.

- Design the project/ solution architecture in strategic projects, including authoring functional and design specifications, scalability, security, data architecture, and integrations.

- Conduct architectural and design reviews.

Stakeholder Management :

- Collaborate with Business stakeholders and Technology leaders in the organization, and provide expert advisory services during Evaluation, Selection, and Implementation of IT/Technology solutions.

- Working closely with external SMEs within Technology partners and Market Analysts to embrace long term strategic roadmap of technology products for successful architecting of projects / solutions involving those technology components.

People Management :

- Mentor and develop aspiring and junior architects, and business teams to develop sound architectural skills.

Ideally, you should have :

- About 12 to 15 years of experience in a technical role (out of which at least 5 years should be in an architect role) within a conglomerate or a large business entity having global presence.

- Deep understanding and preferably hands-on experience of working on one or more of the following domains like business architecture, application architecture, data architecture, infrastructure& network architecture, and cyber-security architecture.

- Experience in one or more of the following industries - Financial Services, Utilities (Gas), Real Estate, Aerospace & Defence

- Excellent communication (both oral and written) and leadership skills

- Certifications in professional architecture courses like TOGAF and / or Google Cloud architecture-related certifications would be considered a plus.

- Good understanding of one or more of the popular Enterprise Architecture tools such as Mega, Avolution, BizzDesign, Orbus Software, would be considered a plus.

- Bachelor's Degree (or post-graduation degree) in Computer Science or IT or related discipline along with some MBA degree.
