Senior Economist - Construction/Engineering/Cement Manufacturing - IIM/ISB/MDI/FMS

The Organization is nodal body for large manufacturers in Construction/Engineering/Cement Industry. The Association's primary responsibilities are National Branding and Managing relationship with Government bodies, regulators and other relevant institutions. As a representative organization, it articulates genuine and legitimate need and interests of the industry.

About the Role :

As Senior Economist, the incumbent will be required to stay up to date with development in the industry with respect to policy changes, new development in allied industries and their impact, national and international trends and changes, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

- Regular study, research and provide regular reports on the Indian economy and core sector performance

- Cross functional/ sector/ commodity research and analysis

- Policy research

- Competition research

- Collate and update data related to the industry

- Analysis of policy impact on the industry

- Data and trend analysis on the impact on the industry and affiliate industries

- Content development

- Development of research and presentations

- Representation at key ministries on the issues/ policies/ data related to Cement Industry in India

Key skills :

- Excellent research skills, economic and trend analysis

- Ability to write in a variety of formats and styles for multiple audiences.

- An effective writing style that is fresh, consistent and customer friendly.

- Exceptional communications skills. Good command over English

- Should be a team player

- Previous experience with the cement industry is highly solicited

Qualification - MBA/ MA (Economics) from a premier institute

Experience - 15 to 20 years as a Research Economist
