Roles and Responsibilities:
This position will manage a team of 20-30 people.
Key Performance Indicators will include :
1. Revenue Management :
- Meeting revenue targets through the year
- P&L responsibility for the team
- Play a Business Development role to help forward-looking revenues. Develop new ideas, proposals and thought notes to do this
- Take responsibility for the development and submission of high quality research proposals direct to clients.
- Managing projects of small and medium size, delivering the agreed result, including meeting of all deadlines and financial results.
2. Setting & Maintaining quality standards :
- Ensure that everyday project delivery is done to specific, high standards. Set up processes that ensure this happens
- Continuously provide thought-leadership and ideas to drive business and enhance reputation as a high-thought partner
- As a Senior Domain Consultant - Research Insights you will deliver research and consultancy outputs to a very high standard, in order to build upon and develop the reputation for high quality work.
3. Project Management & Delivery :
- Provide knowledge direct to the client or into research and consultancy projects.
- Participate closely in project delivery, and run projects by themselves
- Ensure that projects meet objectives, timelines are adhered to and client experience is of high quality
4. People Management :
- Guide and mentor team to deliver to standards
- Enhance team capability through training, guidance on projects etc
- Track key team metrics - quality, efficiency etc
- Lead team appraisals
Essential Skills & Qualities :
- The ideal candidate will have a background in market research.
- A strong, demonstrated interest in answering questions using data and technology is critical.
- Data acquisition and extraction, data analysis (quantitative and qualitative), data presentation, GIS mapping, desk research and literature review, survey and consultation design, in-depth qualitative interviewing (telephone and face-to-face) reporting and presentations.
- Getting their hands dirty, and demonstrated ability to manage teams is essential.
- Excellent report writing skills and high level presentational skills.
Other Qualifications :
1. A minimum of 6 years- post-MBA experience, with total experience of not more than 7-9 years;
2. Deep exposure to market research data and concepts.
3. Experience in market research in CPG organizations is preferable.
4. Past experience in research, consumer insights is also relevant.
5. Ability to work with data, dig out insights using simple frameworks as well as statistical concepts is desirable.
6. Experience of leading teams and coordination with people of diverse background and skill sets
7. Masters degree in Business Administration from a Premier business school.
