Description:
- Tech Enabled Logistics Company's newly launched fulfillment solution is seeking a highly skilled and motivated program manager to help build fulfilment and 1 day 2 day delivery models for the D2C brands. This is a very exciting opportunity and to join a new business vertical which is growing rapidly and holds strategic importance in roadmap. - About the business: fulfilment is being to build an Amazon like experience for the buyers that are buying directly from the D2C brand websites. is committed to build out the network of fulfillment centers across the country along with the required investment in hardware and software to achieve the maximum reach for 1&2 day delivery.
SRF has 8 fulfillment centers and launching 4 by end of Q3 2021 with capability to manage mostly all prevalent ecommerce categories along with temperature controlled and B2B operations. As it already works with over 75k active sellers we would like to use the fulfillment to reduce time of delivery, cost of shipment and remove the headache of running the warehouse for our sellers.
- More about the role: This role brings the opportunity to build out 1&2 days delivery models outside of the large marketplaces, which is one of the most important problems to solve in the current ever expanding D2C market
- Understand the need to the customer to develop the feature roadmap.
- Bringing innovation in the fulfilment and last mile operations to improve efficiency & speed and ensure scalability.
- Charting out the core product strategy
- Planning investments in and automation and hardware
- You will play the role of a thinker and an implementer in equal measure - the success in this role is as much about implementing as it is about conceptualizing or strategizing.
- Gathering and analyzing data across business functions to establish global standards for supply chain and product fulfillment.
- Innovate to improve customer experience and continuously remove cost from our fulfillment network.
- Develop last mile strategy to delivery on 1 & 2 day delivery models
Key Responsibilities :
- Program charter and strategy: Owns the program charter and management for people centric projects and diversity and inclusion initiatives and contributes to the long term vision of SRF.
- Working cross team with sales, product, operations, technology and marketing to be able to capture feedback and share information and knowledge on the features and product value.
- Navigates ambiguity: Navigate through mid to high level of ambiguity and carves out a plan of action by breaking problem into smaller milestone and tie them with success metrics for effective delivery
- Builds Organization capability: Establishes strong mechanism to partner and liaison with business and training teams to identify and fix capability gaps and systematically develop and implement training solutions.
- Drives continuous process improvement culture: Work with operational teams and understand the voice of the sellers to identify the gaps in the current capability. Drive culture of continuous improvement, and orchestrate initiatives across function and geographies.
- Influence with authority to deliver results: Possesses adequate knowledge on running operations at large-scale organizations, to earn trust and influence stakeholders. Creates mechanisms to measure, benchmark, build and retain talent at various levels across functions. Builds strategy in partnership with the Recruiting team to attract talent at function and/or site level.
What is expected from the candidate?
- Ability to take complete end to end ownership of an initiative till execution; subsequently setting up processes for operating teams seamlessly take over and execute on a daily basis
- Ability to work with large data, dive-deep, identify issues - analytical thinking is a must
- Ability to engage with multiple stake holders and influence the teams
- Ability to define project deliverables, timelines and set up mechanisms to track inputs and outputs for the projects; strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to innovate to solve complex business problems with automation and tech solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Have worked in a scaled ecommerce marketplace
- Has worked in scaling fulfillment and logistics operations and product in the ecommerce space
- Understand the technology and process around WMS, LMS, warehouse automation, demand and inventory planning etc.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in program or project management
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- 7+ years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- 7+ years of experience delivering cross functional projects
- Experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with external customer interaction.
- Proven analytical skills and demonstrated ability to manage the business "by the numbers". Must be metrics-driven.
- Track record of managing metrics and improving performance with clients
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills (including proficiency with tools such as Excel and Access) and an ability to use data to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
- A bachelor's degree at a well-regarded institution in an analytical field (e.g. Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance
