Description :

- Reporting to Visa's Global Head of Digital and Mobile Product Development, the Senior Director of DMPD in India is responsible for developing and executing projects and programs within a shared strategic vision for a mission-critical to the organization.

- A successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to lead, recruit, grow and retain high-caliber talent at scale. Prior experience must include leadership for mission-critical web and mobile payment or related high transaction systems.

- A successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in platform work for delivery to internal and external customers and for programs that cut across multiple organizations.

- A successful candidate must be a high impact executive with a technology background and the ability to engage in high bandwidth conversations with executives.

- S/he must be able to think broadly about Visa's business and articulate and drive business value of technology initiatives.

- Candidates must have demonstrated success in organizational transformations along dimensions such as deep partnerships and agile collaboration with business, fostering a culture that encourages innovation and an agile product development process.

Responsibilities :

- Lead, recruit, grow and retain high-caliber talent at scale

- Ensure excellence in delivery to internal and external customers

- Execute roadmap for Emerging markets platform working with stakeholders across Visa

- Partner with other Product Management and Product Development teams to provide them with subject matter expertise on the design, architecture, construction, and testing of the platform

- Develop processes and tools that enable the team to develop and deploy cost effective solutions to the geographies.

- Create solutions to monitor usage and performance of their services, and resolve operational and technical problems.

- Foster innovation and leverage new technologies including Opensource

- Build deep partnerships with technology leaders, product management and clients

- Partner with DMPD Architecture team to define the architecture of the Emerging market Platform and to develop and publish platforms and standards, guidelines, best practices, and reference architectures/ Applciations

Qualifications :

- Deep knowledge and passion around emerging markets and payments technologies and their potential to change commerce

- Experienced in Mobile and web development including SDK's, REST/JSON API and integration

- Be conversant in the predominant programming languages such as Java and Java Scripts

- Experience organizing, running, supporting, and growing large technology organization

- Experience developing and managing integration, onboarding and managing client projects

- A 18+ year track record of relevant work experience and a Computer Science or related technical discipline is required. An MBA/MS is a major plus

- Financial services and/or payments processing industry experience is desirable

- Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interaction skills, including ability to effectively communicate technical issues and concepts to multiple organization levels inside and outside Visa

- Independent judgment and mature decision making skills to deal with projects that often have enterprise-wide scope and may have significant cost and time-to-market impacts

- Great time management and a passion for making commitments happen. Able to work independently, yet seamlessly integrate activities with other teams when needed

- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a complex organization where the ability to partner with diverse stakeholders is critical to brokering solutions that are in the best interest of Visa as a whole
