Role : Sr. Director / Director - Learning & Knowledge Management

Location : Pune

GENERAL PURPOSE :

The Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning Director will champion the organization-wide integration of practices that support collaboration, learning and knowledge sharing, and adaptive management so that the knowledge and experience of the organisation is better shared and used inside and (as appropriate) outside the organization by staff, partners and stakeholders

Responsibilities :

Learning Strategy :

- Lead the direction that both incubates new learning experiences and optimizes existing programs, leveraging the latest in adult learning best practices

- Create a go-to-market plan, including messaging, to educate and inspire the employees with awareness and understanding of their deliverables

- Regularly engage externally to bring best practices inside and stay at the forefront of the industry

- Deliver outcomes based on key success metrics (and targets) at program and portfolio level

- Develops robust talent management plans and drives culture change initiatives to attract, retain, develop, and engage talent in critical roles.

- Identify key engagement drivers and develop the supporting strategies to align people, processes, and work-related systems in order to achieve meaningful levels of job satisfaction and retention for employees.

- Identify key trends and collaborate with the various teams to provide prescriptive recommendations and solutions.

Training Design & Implementation :

- Partner across the company in service of delivering a delightful, integrated employee experience

- Partner with the HR team and businesses to understand their needs and best leverage our portfolio for impact

- Work with leaders within client groups to understand core capabilities needed to drive business results, and translate into actionable developmental programs for functional teams.

- Design, deliver and develop high quality, effective learning solutions to address identified needs, gaps, and development opportunities across all levels within the organization.

- Assess, design and help drive broad initiatives to support a culture of learning across the organization

Coaching & Just-in-time Support :

- Provide ongoing support to business leaders by serving as "sounding board" in both a business and people-related capacity.

- Utilize high-level consulting skills to influence, coach and provide feedback to employees at all levels.

- Provide feedback and insights about organizational development, structure and proactively predict outcomes/prescribe actions to ensure smooth operations

- Partner with business groups to focus on building the Company's culture, including team development, conflict resolution and fostering an environment of open feedback and communication.

- Support the administrative and technical aspects of the LMS platform & content providers and help our team members to have a positive experience with our LMS platform

Maintain student records and track usage and other metrics for management review - provide regular reporting on KPIs

Leadership Development :

- Design & deliver programs, fostering an environment of ethical and servant leadership philosophies.

- Strong focus on change management, partnering closely with business leaders to develop consistent strategies and tactics to help leaders manage change.

Knowledge Management :

- Lead the design, implementation and continuous refinement of knowledge plans and strategies to transform key information and intellectual capital into value.

- Provide a strategic view on the further development of knowledge management systems and practices in order to support the work and development of the organization into the future.

- Manage, maintain and develop the organization's knowledge system and content to meet the information needs of the organization

- Lead the development and implementation of content strategies (i.e., enterprise governing structure of how to organize and categorize content) for the web and internal systems including discovery, planning, analysis, migration, delivery and governance

- Establish and enforce effective governance and change management to drive consistency across enterprise knowledge strategy and increase utilization of knowledge platform

- Develop and manage deployment of communications and awareness programs to increase sharing and collaboration

- Leads the design, implementation, and enhancement of core KM approaches used to support critical knowledge flow within and across the business and knowledge domains

- Establishes strategy for KM approaches (e.g., communities of practice, facilitated transfer of best practices, lessons learned, common knowledge flow processes, and collaborative tools)

- Monitors and evaluates the knowledge management program, including external benchmarking and evaluation programs/opportunities

Core skills and experience :

- Exceptional knowledge of and experience converting instructional design and learning theory into practical, actionable and impactful programs.

- Proven track record leading a team of learning professionals and vendors in program design, development, implementation, and program management.

- Demonstrated abilities and results managing and building teams and collaborative partnerships.

- Solid multi-platform facilitation skills required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED :

- Bachelor's Degree required / PG in Management ( Prefered); Advanced degree in Organization Development, Instructional Design, Learning, Leadership, Psychology, or other related fields preferred.

- Proven track record with at least 15+ years of experience in training or client facing roles, with 5+ years directly leading a team.

- Proven customer-centric focus with the ability to influence culture and create alignment between business goals, behaviors, and compensation systems that drive performance.

- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish rapport with all levels of the organization.

- Strong team player that has a customer service approach and is solution oriented.

- Fueled by intellectual curiosity and courage

- Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, good conflict management, and negotiation skills, ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs and recommendations.

- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action; excellent analytical skills and an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks.

- Special consideration to certifications in assessment or other development tools.

- Coaching certification a plus

- Proven team leadership capabilities

- Advanced knowledge in learning technology, online learning software and LMS

- Ability to influence team members at all levels on key employee engagement and development topics

- Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills

- Strong desire to create innovative, compelling programs in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent organizational capabilities

- Strong facilitation and delivery skills required

- Certifications in psychometric tools and/or assessments (e.g. DISC) a plus

- Experience creating learning and development approaches, leadership development, change management and organizational development initiatives

- Must be flexible in order to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities

- Ability to work under tight deadlines and plan, organize and carry out multiple, detailed tasks

- Stays current on leading edge learning, knowledge management, and professional development trends

- Must have expert-level knowledge in enterprise knowledge management, information architecture and taxonomies and tools including:

- Knowledge management technologies, including portal management (SharePoint), website usability, databases & repositories, subscription management, collaborative & social software, content & document management, search engines, expertise locators, taxonomy metadata, metrics reporting & analytics, workflow and process automation applications

- Demonstrated understanding of online usability best practices and approaches

- Knowledge asset acquisition & classification process and tools, such as enterprise taxonomy models, knowledge mapping, after-action reviews, lessons learned, innovation & idea-generation, people profiles

- Knowledge management promotion techniques, such as relationship management, goals & measurements, knowledge-sharing rewards, training, user surveys, communications
