Senior DevOps Architect - Healthcare/Pharma

Must haves (DevOps)

- Architects only

- 14+ years of experience with the last 4-5 years as DevOps Architect. A DevOps + coding person

- CI/CD experience-not just implementing but designing and architecture (very important), automation of deployments - Eg: Chef, Puppet

- Hands -on with experience of different product deployment tools and Scripting tools(very important)

- Hands-on experience of SCM tools

- Technologies C#, .NET

Senior DevOps Architect will set the strategy and direction for our next generation Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes and solutions. The areas of emphasis are build, test and deployment of Healthcare applications; identifying opportunities for improvement; design and implementation of custom and off-the-shelf solutions. The candidate will also be good at evaluating and implementing various open source tools to leverage continuous integration and delivery platforms for the projects along with suggesting optimization factors to improve overall application performance. Responsibility & Key Result Areas

- Provide technical leadership in building and maintaining an industry standard class Continuous Integration and Delivery process

- Take ownership of the existing CI/CD systems and work on the enhancement and optimization to meet business needs

- Design, develop and maintain proper documentation to enable easier adoption of the best practices and implementation of designs

- Communicate effectively with developers, peers and other stakeholders in the organization

- Utilize analytical skills in determining the root cause of problems, and demonstrate ability to multi-task and re-prioritize responsibilities based on changing requirements (such as urgent customer problems)

- Work with global teams to drive DevOps optimization activities

- Mentor peers, junior engineers to improve their technical and analytical skills

- Self-driven and flexible to work beyond the call of the job

- Expected to work in SaFE Development process

Role Competency & Experience

- Minimum of 14+ years of delivery experience in IT Delivery, Release Engineering and DevOps

- Subject matter expert in DevOps architecture, processes and tool implementation, minimum 5+ years

- Strategize, guide, build, implement best practices and maintain a world class Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes and solutions

- Provide guidance and recommendations to business verticals on best practices to be adopted to enhance the CI-CD delivery

- Take ownership of existing systems, study as-is processes and enhancement to optimal global standards by implementation of best practices and design

- Experience in designing and developing DevOps automation tools and practices

- Hands-on experience of Build for C++ / VC ++, Java and .NET projects

- Hands-on experience of different product deployment tools (WIX/InstallShield, 1-Click Installation), technologies (C#, ASP.NET) and Scripting languages (NANT, VB Script, Powershell)

- Hands-on experience of SCM tools (e.g. SVN, TFS) for managing, labeling, branching and merging source code

- Deployment experience of various CI/CD tools Eg: Jenkins, FinalBuilder, CruiseControl

- Expertise in Unit and Functional testing - Eg: JUnit, Sonarcube, Cucumber

- Automation of deployments - Eg: Chef, Puppet etc

- Experience on Production Systems Release management / Deployment management

- Certified Scrum and on SaFE Agile would be added advantage

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Must be good in global stakeholder management to drive integration activities
