Job Description

The Foundation services technology team provides application solutions for messaging, integration, and workflow. These are vital services used across the bank and is relied upon for the bank to conduct its day-day operations. They provide interoperability between disparate systems across the enterprise architecture of the bank.

Senior Development Manager - Integration Services

The Senior Development Manager - Integration Services will be responsible for our IBM MQ, IBM Datapower software & infrastructure which provides an extremely critical service for the bank.

These software products are the primary mode of connecting various applications within the bank and therefore this is one of the most important ITO role within the bank. These systems need to be highly reliable, fault tolerant, and resilient. Any issue with these platforms can cause an impact to 100s of applications within the bank. This role will manage a 70+ person organization in Chennai and Kuala Lumpur.

In addition, this person will also be matrix managing the Webmethods / SOA team in Chennai. Therefore this person will also have the additional role of Head of Integration Services - Chennai

Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Responsible for project/program management work of all projects handled by the middleware team with 70+ members.

- The role will have budgetary responsibilities.

- Requires a highly senior technical individual capable of resolving complex production issues impacting critical business applications.

- A leadership position, responsible for identifying functional linkages across the bank and develop appropriate processes for the entire project management function including hiring plans, training requirements, staffing etc.

- The role would take strategic decisions which will have a major impact on the unit in alignment to corporate goals and strategies.

- Responsible for hiring and building a highly energetic, technically capable team

- Clear and concise communications to all stakeholders including the CIOs of the bank

Experience / Qualifications / Skills

- Demonstrated technical leadership capabilities - well respected technical leader with experience in delivering high quality, highly resilient software with agile / continuous integration methodologies.

- Highly driven, energetic, self-motivated individual focused on delivery of results.

- Build relationships with key stakeholders in CIB, Retail, Commercial banking divisions

- Development background and has experience building out highly resilient large scale technology platforms

- Expertise in using messaging technologies and building SOA services for large scale programs

- Proven experience in coordination of many dependencies and multiple demanding stakeholders in a complex, large-scale program. Able to deliver complex programs in a short period of time.

- Demonstrated ability to hire, manage and retain a strong team of technical and functional experts.

- Own and manage the financial, project plan, estimates, issue/dependency tracking, resourcing and timescales.

- Demonstrated release planning and management capabilities across consisting of multiple streams of work.

- Very quick in learning new technology concepts & banking processes

- Ability to communicate at all levels - Having clear oral and written communication with CIOs as well as technical developers.

Technology Skills Required

- Technical hands on and proficient with technologies IBM Middleware platforms like IBM MQ, Message Broker, Datapower. This is a must-have especially when trouble-shooting complex production issues.

- Hands-on proficiency with web standards including XML, WSDL, SOAP and WS-Security

- Hands-on proficiency with database technologies DB2/Oracle/MongoDB

- Hands-on proficiency with programming languages such as Java / Scala / C++ / Python

- Hands-on proficiency with Linux scripting languages (bash, ksh, python, perl etc).

- Demonstrated adoption and implementation of Continous Integration for large scale programs - Build out full automation across Build/Test/Deployment.

- Demonstrated automation across the full development lifecycle
