Senior Data Scientist - Captive Firm

This opportunity is with a leading Captive Firm which has its shared services centre at Chennai, supports a number of its worldwide operations across multiple countries through the entire lifecycle of shared service delivery, in terms of F&A, supply chain management (SCM) and human resource management (HRM) processes.

Major Accountabilities :

- Collaborate with Business Stakeholders and SMEs to understand end-to-end Business process

- Identify and develop appropriate use cases based on business problems

- Convert the Business problems in use case into Data Requirements, Metrics and Measures

- Work with Analytics Architect and finalize the Analytics Outcome

- Work with Visualization experts and finalize the Analytics outcome Representation

- Present the outcome to Business Stakeholders and get signoff on the Analytics Solution

- Identify similar use case where the solution can be implemented to solve a similar business problem

Skill Required :

- Total of 4 to 8 years of Experience specialized in Data Analysis area

- Excellent knowledge in Statistical Modelling Techniques and Developing Algorithms

- Hands on experience in Statistical Modelling Tools such as SAS / SPSS / Weka

- Hands on experience in Statistical Software like R, Python, Java

- Extensive experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches (e.g. Bayesian Analysis, Reduced Dimensional Data Representations, and Multi-scale Feature Identification)

- Experience in handling Huge volume of data - Knowledge in Machine Learning Algorithms, NLP

- Hands on experience in building learning algorithms using Sensors, actuators and other IoT based products

- Good experience in Data Visualization and Representation skills

- Excellent critical thinking skills, combined with the ability to present your beliefs clearly and compellingly verbally and in written form

- Knowledge on Data Preprocessing, Data cleansing is a plus

- Understanding of Data patterns (Structured, Semi-Structured, Unstructured) and their characteristics

- Work experience in fast-paced, team-oriented, rapidly changing environment
