Senior Data Science Expert - Venture Capital & Private Equity Firm - Contractual

At Outsized, we match clients in financial services and management consulting to high-quality independent consultants and boutique/specialist firms for the execution of their key projects.

Our client is a venture capital and private equity firm managing over $150M of capital, with investments in real estate, high-growth technology firms, and social impact initiatives. They are seeking a Senior Data Science Expert with experience across multiple industries, including Healthcare, CPG, Life Science, and TMT.

The client aims to leverage the expert's domain knowledge to enhance their pre-sales efforts by engaging with US clients and instilling confidence in domain-led delivery. Additionally, the expert will provide guidance to the delivery team, ensuring that their domain experience is effectively integrated into project execution. Success will be measured by the expert's ability to build client confidence and support the delivery team in achieving project goals.

Key Deliverables:

- Serve as a bridge between a team of data scientists and business stakeholders

- Engage in pre-sales activities, speaking with US clients to build confidence in domain-led delivery

- Provide domain-specific guidance to the delivery team

Your Background:

- 15+ years of industry-specific domain experience in either Healthcare/CPG/ Life Science/TMT industries or any other industry.

- Working knowledge of data science principles and practices

- Degree in a relevant field preferred (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics)

- Professional certifications in data science or related fields are a plus

- Strong pre-sales and client engagement skills is highly preferred

Additional Details:

- Part-time engagement: 15 to 20 hours per week

- Contract Duration: 6 months (extendable)

- Work arrangement: The role can be executed in a remote setup
