Job Description :

Data analyst works on implementing data projects with a focus on collecting, parsing, cleaning, managing, analysing and visualizing large sets of raw data to turn them into insightsin a common data mart that are useful for other analysts using multiple tools and platforms. He are she manages the integrity and quality of the data mart by defining and developing metrics, processes and tools for the same. Data analyst takes ownership of the data platform, utilities and libraries that are used by analysts across the board and defines the standards for data management within analytics group. He or she should be able to work withdata and engineering teamson the hardware and software needs for the solutions.

Job Responsibilities :

- Manage the analytics data mart by developing toolsets and utilities to extract, clean and transform data from the production sources.

- Update and maintain the transformation and scoring libraries required for generating derived data on an ongoing basis as per the user requirement.

- Maintain consistency and quality of raw and derived data in the data mart and ensure the availability of it to stakeholders.

- Develop and manage the processes and workflows required to add new variables to the data mart and catch them up on historic data sets.

- Create and maintain quality dashboard for all the datasets used by analysts and address quality issues by working with Data, Engineering and Analytics teams.

- Address performance and scalability requirements by streamlining and enhancing the data access and transfer patterns in and out of the data mart by leveraging big data toolsets and industry best practices.

- Constantly engage with analytics functional owners to identify the infrastructure needs (space, computing and network bandwidth) and work with IT and Infra teams to provision the same.

Key Skill Sets :

- 3-5 years of experience in quantitative analysis experience (preferably in an engineering or product role).

- Quantitative background in Statistics, Computer Science, Math or other technical field with a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree.

- Experience with managing relational and non-relational data sets on any of MySql/ PostgreSQL/ MongoDB. Knowledge of data schema designs for large datasets.

- Experience with common analysis tools - SQL, R, and Python. Demonstrable familiarity with code and programming concepts.

- Familiarity with data quality management and ETL tools.

- Expertise in map-reduce designs and big data toolsets like Hadoop is a plus.

- Self-motivated, agile and driven to think out-of-the-box

- Ability to influence diverse audiences and build strong partnerships with stakeholders
