Job Responsibilities.
- Assist in planning, implementation, and delivery of climate change and sustainability projects across urban and rural sectors.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data related to climate impacts, sustainability metrics, and urban governance.
- Assist in developing and refining sustainability assessment frameworks, including climate resilience and urban liveability indicators.
- Liaise with local governments, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with project goals.
- Conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions to build the capacity of stakeholders on climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies.
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track progress and assess the impact of sustainability initiatives.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, case studies, and policy briefs outlining project outcomes, data insights, and recommendations.
- Provide policy recommendations and technical inputs to support the development of climate policies and sustainable development initiatives at the local, state, and national levels.
Key Skills Required:
- Proven experience in project management, stakeholder coordination, and budget oversight within climate or sustainability sectors.
- Ability to conduct research, analyse data, and synthesize information into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and presentations tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
Education Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree in Management, Economics, Urban Planning, Sustainability, or related fields from a recognized university.
- Experience (in yrs) - Minimum of 8 years of overall experience with at least 5 years in urban governance, climate change, or sustainability projects.
- Strong knowledge of climate change adaptation/mitigation, sustainability practices, and data analysis related to urban development.
