Assignment Brief:
Job Title: Senior Supply Chain Management (SCM) Consultant
Location: Chennai
Division: Manufacturing & Supply Chain
Nature of Work: Sunday to Thursday, regular work from office
Occasional international travel to meet clients
Roles and Responsibilities:
SCM Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement SCM strategies that align with corporate objectives and contribute to the achievements.
- Lead the assessment of current SCM processes and recommend innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
Solution Design and Implementation:
- Conduct architecture, design, and solution workshops with key stakeholders to conceptualize and articulate SCM integration designs.
- Lead the full lifecycle implementation of SCM modules, particularly in Procurement, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, and Planning.
- Configure SCM applications in alignment with best practices and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective SCM solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing insights and recommendations on SCM trends, risks, and opportunities.
Training and Development:
- Conduct Conference Room Pilots (CRPs) to validate SCM solutions with end users.
- Develop and deliver training programs to equip internal teams with the knowledge and skills required to maximise SCM system utilisation.
Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor the performance of SCM systems and processes, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and SCM best practices
Required Skills
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in SCM modules including Procurement, Self-Service Procurement, Sourcing, Contracts, Inventory Management, Manufacturing, and Planning.
- Experience with Cloud Application Implementations, particularly in the SCM domain.
- Strong understanding of SCM integration designs and the ability to conduct solution workshops and CRPs.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and solutions clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and foster collaborative relationships across all levels of the organisation.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
- Certification in relevant SCM or Cloud Application platforms is an advantage.
Required Work Experience:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in SCM, with a focus on Cloud Application Implementations.
- Proven experience in at least 3-4 full lifecycle SCM implementations, with a preference for Gulf region implementation experience.
- Extensive experience in conducting architecture and solution design workshops, and leading the configuration of SCM applications in a client-facing role.
- Demonstrated experience in integrating SCM systems within a large, diversified organisation.
