Senior Consultant - Oil & Gas Practice

We have an urgent opening with a Leading MNC Strategy Consulting Firm for the position of a Senior Consultant with Oil & Gas Exploration and production experience.

Job Description:

- A Senior Consultant works as part of a project team to identify clients’ strategic issues, assess their business context, formulate and evaluate strategies, synthesize conclusions, and prepare and deliver client presentations.

- Role entails extensive interaction with senior executives and business analysis to draw insight and recommendations.

- Senior consultants lead or part-lead a client project. The projects are intended to help clients develop and implement creative strategies for the critical decisions they are facing.

The projects can be of different kinds:

- Realign, prioritize, and optimize existing businesses or portfolios of businesses, R&D efforts, technologies, IP, products, or other assets

- Enter new business areas through internal development, mergers, or acquisitions

- Divest areas of low potential to the client but great worth to others

- Manage risk and uncertainty in a way that builds shareholder value

- Apply new technologies

Desired Candidate profile:

The candidate should have MBAs or PhDs and 5–7 years experience in Oil & Gas, preferably in the consulting industry. Senior consultants must demonstrate proficiency in all of the following:

- Problem formulation and analysis

- Business assessment

- Alternative generation

- Model development and evaluation

- Meeting facilitation

- Presentations to clients

Other Requisites:

- An undergraduate degree in engineering, economics, or another quantitative discipline

- Outstanding academics and extracurricular activities that demonstrate personal and professional accomplishment

- Demonstrated experience in project management or program management

- Exceptional analytical, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

- Strong personal presence, proactive, creative, principled, highly motivated, and disciplined and the ability to interact well with people

- Problem formulation and analysis

- Model development and evaluation

- Business research and assessment

- The ability to work in teams in both leadership and participatory roles

- MBA from Tier I or II B-Schools should apply
