Senior Consultant - Management Consulting - Financial Services

The MC - FS offers services to the clients in the following key areas

1.Retail Banking strategy

2.Investment banking / portfolio management

3.Regulatory Capital Management- Basel Regulations - Basel 2, 3, recovery and resolution plan

4. FS policies and procedures (Credit/ Treasury / Operations)

This practice offers and excellent opportunity for experienced candidates / Team member in the Sr Consultant position to grow by working in cross functional engagements beyond the specialization area.

Industry sector experience:

The person should have excellent overall knowledge of banking and financial services industry

The key roles & responsibilities for the position includes among others:

Take delivery leadership

Be a specialist in at least one area of FS

Develop proposal as and when required

The team member shall be open to take up stretch assignments, as and when required in other areas of financial services. Further he / she shall be able to support business development through proposal writing, identify new opportunities and serve as a 2nd level contact point of the client.

Key skill set and hands-on experience required:

1.Business Strategy (Retail / corporate banking market study, competitive assessment, market size estimation)

2.Operating model (credit)

3.Policies and procedures (in depth knowledge in at least one area of the bank's operation preferably credit operations)

4.Banking regulations - Basel 2 and 3 (Clear understanding and working experience in Basel 2 and 3)

Understanding of Treasury / Investment Banking would be an advantage.

Language Requirements:

The candidate should have a high standard of proficiency in English

Minimum qualifications:

- MBA from a reputed B school

FRM - PRM / GARP - preferred

Experience:

6-8 years in financial services with specialization mentioned above. Preferably experience gained in a consulting firm, or with a Bank or Financial Services Institution

Personal attributes:

Ambitious, mature and business-minded with strong leadership and high ethical standards

Proactive and willingness to take up cross functional stretch assignments

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, analytical ability and presentation skills

Ability to manage right deadlines and prioritize tasks
