Senior Consultant - IT Consulting - Healthcare Domain

Position: Sr. Consultant - Healthcare IT consulting

Location : Gurgaon

Qualification: B.Tech + MBA

Job Responsibility :

- She/He will be a part of a fast-growing team focused on business development and projects in healthcare technology consulting for the clients in healthcare which includes providers (Hospitals, physicians etc.), payors, Government and other healthcare entities across geography

- Typical responsibilities would be to support in business development activities of the firm; research on potential clients and identify value propositions, support data analysis, proposal making; provide advisory/consulting to various healthcare clients on various aspects like health IT/eHealth strategy, health IT rationalization, sourcing and evaluation, project management etc.

- Individual would be required to work extensively on various healthcare technology proposals with tight deadlines with the guidance from seniors

- Once on project, she/he will be expected to play an active role in supporting the day-to-day management of healthcare client accounts

- The individual will interact with clients, develop and execute technology consulting strategies to deliver results, and provide perspective to clients on internal, peer, and market developments in the healthcare technology sector.

- They would be involved in project management of various IT initiatives at client location

- As they progress towards assuming managerial responsibilities, they are expected to engage clients in strategic dialogues and help client identify specific problems and chalk out solutions

- As a part of strategic planning team the individual will be responsible to identify strategic and emerging opportunities to further clients reputations and to add more value for the client, be prepared to mitigate risk and take advantage of opportunities based on regulatory or business developments, anticipate potentially difficult situations and be able to evaluate strategies and alternatives with senior management, take a proactive approach and anticipate client needs, demonstrate insight into client needs and concerns, develop strong relationships with clients, establish and manage to client expectations, assist senior team members in creatively preparing and executing communications programs.

Mandatory requirements :

- Experience in revenue cycle management

- All administrative and clinical functions that contribute to the capture, management and collection of patient service revenue

- Maintaining compliance with coding regulations, such as the ICD-10 code update

- Clinical coding, billing, collections in hospitals

- RCM solutions

- Exposure to contemporary healthcare IT concepts and solutions like hospital information system (HIS), EHR, eHealth, mHealth, hospital workflows, interoperability, standards and vocabularies etc.

- Experience/understanding of hospital workflows

- Experience/understanding of hospital information system modules

- Individuals with prior consulting experience of minimum 5 years in Health IT strategy and program management with reputed consulting firms on various domestic (India) or international healthcare provider client engagements

- Individual should have worked on client facing engagements

- The candidate should be extremely conversant with Excel & PPT. A high level of Excel & Analytical skills are a must.

- She/He should be presentable and should be able to deal with people across the hierarchy.

- The candidate should be assertive and confident in her/his approach when dealing with clients, colleagues and peers

- The candidate needs to have strong problem solving skills, excellent work ethics, and the ability to learn new tools and techniques and apply them to client problems across industries

- Clinical costing / casemix

- Patient level costing

- Clinical cost controls

- Activity based costing

- Clinical accounting principles

- Model of care/Clinical pathways

- Defining the way health services are delivered

- Outlining the best practices for care delivery and services for patient population

- Clinical coding

- Experience on ICD 10 AM

- Understanding of diagnostics related grouping

- Experience with clinical coding software like 3M Codefinder, Pavillion health CodeXpert or Q Platform etc.

- Experience with Payor clients

- Prior experience of working in leading hospitals is highly desirable

- Working knowledge of global healthcare standards (RXNORM, LOINC, DICOM, HL7 and SNOMED-CT)

- Candidates with healthcare certifications will be preferred

- Understanding (if not experience) of emerging technologies (specially in healthcare domain) is desirable

- Understanding of US healthcare regulations is desirable
