Senior Consultant/Consultant - Credit Risk Modeling - BFSI/KPO

The Sr Consultant/ Consultant position supports the Credit Risk Modelling & Quantification team & responsible for providing accurate & timely information supporting development, maintenance, back-testing, & monitoring of probability of default (PD), exposure at default (EAD), loss given default (LGD), borrower risk rating & stress testing models.

- Resolve complex issues in modelling credit risk rating models PD/ EAD/ LGD used in the calculation of economic & Basel capital, allocation of capital for performance measurement & other aspects of credit risk management. CCAR credit loss modelling experience for whole sale & retail

- Active participant in the development of credit risk models (PD/ EAD/ LGD) for Personal, CRE, C&I, Residential Real Estate, OTTI etc. Ensures regular production of analytical work & reports. Acts as an important contact for credit risk models with regulators, Internal Audit Department & Model Validation Group

- Work with senior team members to evaluate existing processes in relation to corporate objectives & industry leading practices. Assess development needs & manage process to achieve desired future state

- Support internal risk rating system. Ensures that the risk rating system framework meets needs of internal constituents & regulatory requirements. Help in enhancing the process, automation & provide the industry view

- Help resolve credit risk issues & enhance overall credit risk framework. Work with Credit Risk Management Group to ensure that risk management policies/ processes & quantitative modelling approaches are consistent

- Contribute to communication & training efforts to promote understanding of credit risk management throughout the company

- Ensure that risk rating models meet both internal corporate needs & regulatory requirements related to Basel II

- Participate in developing, implementing & monitoring risk rating models. Perform Back testing when required

- Responsible for direct interaction with various committees &/or management
