Cloud Senior Consultant - Technology, Strategy and Architecture[TS&A]

- Suggest practical solutions and partner with client to implement solutions.
- Manage projects or project modules independently.
- Perform account coordination with clients to build / improve relationship, seek feedback to identify areas of improvement. Seek information / ideas and establish relationship with clients to assess any future opportunities for additional business.
- Identify industry best practices and implement them in engagements.
- Define project standards, methodologies, and execute process improvement initiatives.
- Experience in one of the TS&A capability areas (Preferred).
Industry Knowledge Expectations:
- Working knowledge of industry trends, challenges, technology adoption levels and solution landscape in a specific industry
- One life cycle project execution experience in recommending and/or implementing IT strategy and solutions for improving business outcomes
- Ability to articulate key IT investment areas for creating competitive advantage for firms in a specific industry
- Awareness of industry specific economic models, business risks and markets served to synthesize how businesses in the sector succeed
TS&A has three broad sub-categories and additional expectations for each of these categories are:
IT Strategy-
IT strategy focuses on the critical skills to ensure that IT architecture, plan, spending, and operating model are aligned with the specific Industry's competitive landscape and the current posture of the client
- Ability to articulate leading business issues and trends, including the associated technology implications within one or more industries
- Demonstrate application of business acumen while leveraging information technology
- Candidates are also required to have at least one full lifecycle project experience in one or more of the following areas:
- IT Strategy & Alignment - Delivering IT Strategies driven both from a top down analysis starting with an articulated business strategy and a bottom up technology capability analysis.
- IT Effectiveness - Assisting clients in formalizing the tools and processes needed to understand how IT resources and programs create shareholder (business) value, and how to improve IT resource allocation to maximize value.
- Experience participating in all aspects of large-scale Enterprise Architecture projects including ideation, identification, planning and cost estimation
- Knowledge of Major Enterprise Architecture Frameworks. Framework Examples include TOGAF, FEA(F), and DoDAF.
- Experience in using excel as a modeling tool.
- Architecture and solution design experience, preparing and facilitating technology/ architecture brainstorming sessions.
- Knowledge and application of key architecture governance models, underlying tools, and supporting processes (e.g. architecture approval, architecture change control, architecture's role in project and standards oversight).
- Experience in defining and tracking metric scorecards
- Understand the impact of cloud computing in business and technology decisions, ability to identify and articulate the business and technology drivers of cloud computing across industries.
- Demonstrate expertise on current industry trends of cloud computing and service providers, hosting solutions, key architecture components, data security.
- Standard Industry certifications will be a plus (e.g.PMP, ITIL,TOGAF, eTOM,ITSM)
IT Business Management -
IT Services and Operations focuses on the review, assessment, control and optimization of IT operations with a solid understanding of full spectrum of operations. The focus is on identifying areas where IT can increase its value to the business by developing comprehensive, integrated IT service and operations solutions.
- Candidates are required to have knowledge and experience involving:
- Any of the Process Frameworks: IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), ISO 20000, COBiT.
- ITIL Lifecycle experience across any phase: Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, Continual Service Improvement.
- Any of the IT Service Management Tools: Remedy, HP OpenView, Peregrine Service Center, Micromuse, BMC Patrol, Tivoli, CA Unicenter, ServiceNow.
- Any IT Operations area: Service Catalog Management, Service Level Management, Security Management, Operational Metrics, Operational Governance.
- Technology Management Optimization
IT Mergers & Acquisitions -
IT Mergers & Acquisitions focuses on IT Due diligence, Transition Services Agreements and Contract Management. It also provides services like Technology & Operations integration in a Post-Merger Integration Scenario
- The candidate should demonstrate application of business acumen while leveraging information technology and have the following skill set
- Experience in projects involving design, development and testing of enterprise systems such as ERP, SAP etc. (build, run, operations, and security) that include integration of key software components such as web/application servers, middleware, RDBMS, development environments, operational components, and security products.
- Vendor management skills
- Experience in costs modeling for restructuring/divestment/merger scenarios
- At least one full cycle of IT due diligence involving IT assets, operations, human capital and business continuity planning.
- Understand the impact of cloud computing in business and technology decisions, ability to identify and articulate the business and technology drivers of cloud computing across industries.
- Project experience in working with:
- Servers: Infrastructure, Platform Sizing, Consolidation, Tiered and Virtualized Storage, Automated Provisioning, Rationalization, Infrastructure Cost Reduction, Thin Provisioning.
- Storage: Storage Capacity Planning, Storage Area Network (SAN) Planning, Network Attached Storage (NAS), Partitioning, Rationalization, Architecture, Design, Data Migration, Synchronization Technologies, File Systems.
- Virtualization: Virtualization Server, Storage, Desktop, Network; Reducing Sprawl,
- Data Center: Optimization, Redesign, Consolidation, Co-location.
- Experience in ServiceNow will be a plus.
