Lead the overall Home Marketplace business
- Analyse data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends regarding the various categories, design and implement the categories including lines, products and brands with continuous improvement.
- Build and drive relationships with key vendors to improve pricing and quality of services, evaluate vendor performance on delivery metrics and take corrective actions.
- Become a leader in category range, pricing and promotions across channels
- Lead category management projects to optimise ranges and related merchandising
- Managing budget development and revenue for the category
- Understand the consumer and work with Marketing to create offers, promotions, content, cross sell/upsell opportunities thereby generating demand
- Work with Logistics and other departments to deliver a great consumer experience
- Own and recap financial performance and metrics, make strategic recommendations in order to achieve sales, sell through, margin and inventory targets
Desired Skills and Competencies
- Candidate should be from top design institute
- 5-7 years proven experience in category management preferably with experience in home furnishing, home dcor category.
- Good understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Good understanding of the market and consumer insights and trends
- An analytical mind with strategic ability
